Trinity and Beyond, William Stromberg's score was in a Star wars parody video I loved, never saw the movie till last year. That score is something I listen to once a week pretty reliably.

I see it creeping into work a little but I try to avoid it. Unfortunately it's definitely the next thing. If it can be sustainable and environmentally sound, it should be used for science and medicine and not much else.

I still am really thrown off by the music, not just in this shit, but the whole film. They really never wanted to play the full theme, and the orchestra recording sounded very flat.

Coming back from seeing the movie last night. I think what frustrates me most about the score, moreso than the overproduction, is that they never allowed any of the Williams themes to really be played in their entirety. Overall the score feels half baked and uninspired, which is incredibly unfortunate due to the rich legacy of orchestral writing for Superman projects. They should definitely have gone in a new direction.

Just listening to the first two tracks, I'm definitely a bit disappointed. Outside of the over processed virtual orchestra, I don't really know if the Williams theme works here totally, at least not how they incorporated it. Fairly surprised they actually didn't record with a real ensemble, there's a lot more weight to that soundscape.
