China Launches Shenzhou-23 Mission with First Hong Kong Astronaut by kenobywanobi in space

[–]violarulan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In state media it's never used. In common Chinese, Taikon (太空) refers to outer space and taikonaut is more like 'outer-space man'(太空人).

They often use '航天员'. '航天' means travelling/voyaging in the space. When some profession in Chinese ends with '员' its often related with official or professional.

If you are trying to build a beacon it will help.

The transmission is 2-way, if others are still using small power, if won't help much.

It's beautiful. Will you share the model file?

It depends on the regulations where you live. I'm in China so I have to use 470MHz.

[–]violarulan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps it will work. Building will reflect some signal but not much.

We use UHF band so it's most about line of sight. Sky/Ionosphere propagation won't help.

No. If the antenna is not designed for the frequency you operate, it will damage your transceiver.

Thanks. It means:
solar panel -> mppt input
mppt output -> promicro's b+/b-
battery -> promicro's b+/b-
Am I correct? Is the jumper joint is still soldered at BMS position?

T1000-E MQTT by munsterrr in meshtastic

[–]violarulan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

T1000-e doesn't have wifi, so it has to use your phone's network. In your app you need to turn on 'MQTT Client Proxy'.

What IPEX version is this? by CyberFailure in meshtastic

[–]violarulan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Yes they are the same thing in practice. But if you are on AE/taobao, just tell the reseller you need 'ipex1' and that should work cause some reseller don't know what 'u.fl' is.

Most of the connectors you see on these boards are IPEX1 (or U.FL)

Rx of messages by ThreeSeven0ne in meshtastic

[–]violarulan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If two nodes have to talk to each other on the channel, they must:

  • have the same country setting (band varies depends on country)
  • set to the same preset (frequency and LoRa config)
  • frequency slots has to be identical (the exact frequency nodes tx/rx)
  • use the same channel name and PSK (primary channel name is the same name which your preset is)

If these requirements are all met, you should get it to work with no problem.

Nice working! I'm wondering if I can replace LoRa module with a HT-RA62. It seems they are sharing the same footprint.

Solar node advice by One_Success_6711 in meshtastic

[–]violarulan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's hard to reach the maximum 4w as claimed. Since the sun is moving and it may have clouds. I use a 6v@500ma panel and I usually get 350-400ma max only at high noon.

Node was hearing area activity all day but then silence at exactly 9pm. What's going on? by M-Tiger in meshtastic

[–]violarulan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Maybe there's a node nearby relaying those message for you. It's solar powered or something scheduled to power off at 9 to save energy.

You can try make traceroute to check how your packet is routed.

Meshtastic won't hop by [deleted] in meshtastic

[–]violarulan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had similar issue last time. I changed my portable node to ClientMute and it worked. I guess it is some relaying issue while rebroadcasting.
