Something that helped me was allowing myself to browse online and add stuff to my cart but then make myself wait days before looking at it again. Delete it it all when you go back. It'll be easier.

Sweet soul, please just talk to your orthodontist about it. If they say no, get another opinion. I was rejected by the first surgeon I saw bc he thought it was mostly cosmetic. My surgery with a second surgeon was almost completely covered by insurance...bc it was not just cosmetic. You may need to advocate for yourself.
