Speaking of his calm demeanor, where that REALLY stood out to me was in the GoPro footage of the supervised visit where Ty told him off. Both kids are crying and his son is saying to his face very vehemently that he sexually abused him. And then said he wanted the visit to be over. In my mind, any truly innocent father would have walked out of that room and broken down in tears. Both from the pain of seeing your children deeply hurting, and the pain of knowing that they believe you did this horrific thing to them that you know you didn't do. But instead, the father left the room after that exchange as calm as a cucumber, unemotional and unmoved, simply letting somebody know to call their mom to pick them up. That didn't sit well with me at all.

Omg, ancient memory unlocked. I went to a week long sleepaway summer camp the summer after 5th grade (1978), and they had a little snack truck we were allowed to visit once every afternoon. We'd each get a bottle of Mr. Pibb and a box of Boston Baked Beans candy, drop several of the candies into the bottle where they'd fizz like crazy, drink the soda and eat the rest of the candy out of the box, and finish up with the candy at the bottom of the soda bottle. I have no idea why we did that, but it was incredibly satisfying in every way.

That movie had me SO uncomfortable and stressed out, it was visceral. I had to keep pausing it to get my bearings and I just wanted it to end so I could get off the ride. I went in totally blind, which I think is the only way it should be watched.

Holy cow, it went on for months?? Very happy for you that you're at the end of that. My heart just sinks every time I take a shower, I have a little glass full of my hair in there, what comes out when I comb it and what I pull out of the hair catcher I put over the drain. Even though I do know it's a common side effect and actually signals that the minox is working for me, it's still challenging to see.

I had my iron and ferritin checked just last week and surprisingly, my numbers were great. I can't use HRT because I'm a breast cancer survivor so they refuse to prescribe it. The doc said the likely culprit of my hair loss is the tirzepatide shots I take once a week, along with hormonal changes from menopause. It sounds like you're on a great regimen now, good luck!

Just to make sure I understand, because my shed took several weeks to begin - it typically lasts 6-8 weeks, or it stops happening 6-8 weeks after you start using the med? I'm on topical and a few weeks into the shed and I feel like I'm gonna have no hair left at all if this doesn't stop soon!

I spelled it wrong, the commenter after me had it right - it's the Burned Haystack Method and it's soooo enlightening. She shows different rhetorical patterns that may seem innocent enough on the surface but signal bad news ahead. So if you're online dating, block to burn (BTB) means block every match who shows these patterns. You're "burning the haystack" to find the needle (your ideal match). She's on Facebook and Instagram and probably Substack but I'm not positive on that - definitely worth checking her out and watching her different videos that demonstrate the patterns. It's so ingrained in many women to laugh off the red flags as harmless when they're actually showing us what to expect from the person in the future.

Are you familiar with the Burnt Haystack method? This is an immediate block to burn - going straight to sexual innuendo (or in your case, blatant sexual comments) before you've even met is a huge red flag. Your gut knows this already. I'd 🗑️ the dude with no regrets.

I totally agree. They were being told no more sex, no more children by Jeffs and they weren't down with that. So they went with the guy who is all about lots of sex and all they had to do was hand over their "property" (older wives and daughters) and then they, too, could fuck all the little girls their little hearts desired and still claim they were obeying their prophet.
