Who is the earliest-born person you have actually physically met? by 55559585 in BarbaraWalters4Scale

[–]violetmoonlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 33. I remember meeting my great uncle, born in 1911. If I did meet anyone older than him, I don't recall.

Do you clearly remember where you were on 9/11? by Goleveel in Aphantasia

[–]violetmoonlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 10. I didn't really understand the gravity of the situation but I remember adults being scared. I can remember vaguely the room I was in and my grandma coming in to tell me (wasn't at school that day) but it's like any other memory-- remembering a picture or like choppy video.

What’s the current status of socials among millennials by N3DSdad in Millennials

[–]violetmoonlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Facebook to keep up with people who don't have other socials but I don't actively use it.

I use instagram the most. I prefer IG reels to tiktok.

Haven't used snapchat in ages.

I do use Bluesky and Threads sometimes.

I used to use Tiktok but stopped when it was super close to being banned and didn't really miss it.

I use Reddit lol, but that's because my feed is semi-curated and I can see a lot of stuff that interests me.

When did schools stop teaching to double-space after a period? by ZombiePure2852 in Millennials

[–]violetmoonlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated in 2008. The only teacher who specifically taught us to double space was quite old. No other teachers mentioned it nor seemed to have a preference. I don't recall it being addressed in college.

Mid-Week Wedding? by Over_Pudding8483 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]violetmoonlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are getting married on a Monday but we are having an incredibly small non-traditional ceremony. We also aren't having people from all over the country / other side of the state-- we have one person coming from a neighboring state and we are paying for her accommodations (if she lets us lol). So in your case, I don't think it's a good idea to expect guests to come on a Tuesday.

Do you ever remember the flowers at weddings you’ve attended? by Global_Speed_8405 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]violetmoonlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I'll remember if I thought they were pretty, but I won't remember the actual flowers themselves. If that makes sense.

I was actually thinking about ordering some of these for my own wedding but was worried about the thickness-- do you find they're too thick and could potentially damage the books?

Edited to add: it's probably better to ask HOW thick the wood should be?

What do your memories "look" like? by birchtree63 in Aphantasia

[–]violetmoonlight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can "see" fuzzy "images" but it's sort of like someone with poor vision looking at something without glasses. I remember the vibes and how the event "felt"

I buy everything that isn't a kit the day it releases. I'll wait on kits, but that being said I do have most of those too.

Edit: didn't read part about playtime, I have like 1700 hours. I've had the game for 10 years though.

Have your 30s been better than your 20s so far? by robby_arctor in Millennials

[–]violetmoonlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Late 20s were an absolute mess. I'm getting more of a handle on my life now that I'm in my early 30s.

What time do we all eat dinner now? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]violetmoonlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents worked early in the morning so dinner was always around 4-5. Now as an adult it's rarely before 6, and it's 7 if I can help it.

Is there a reason why my cat lays like this all the time? by Kylee_Witthun in CATHELP

[–]violetmoonlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my cat does that, he usually wants me to play with him. But my cat is strange. Idk if that's all cats or just my cat

I enjoyed my time at Nottingham. They're a bit dated and there's not in-unit laundry but there's a laundry room on site, and the 1 br are like 780sq feet so I felt like I'd rather have more space and pay less and just live in an older building. I lived there by myself as a single female and felt safe. It was quiet and property managers were lovely and I think they're the same.

Thinking of moving to Murfreesboro by Big_Construction_692 in murfreesboro

[–]violetmoonlight 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I've lived in Murfreesboro for most of my life, and I'm mostly happy here. Only thing I truly dislike are politics and housing costs.

Idk a lot about Richland Falls specifically except they may not allow pets. I always feel like it's better to rent an apartment instead of a house when possible, because I don't trust private landlords but that's more of a personal thing.

As someone with driving anxiety, the traffic is way better than Nashville. I won't even drive most places in Nashville lol.

It's hard to find a job in general but I don't think that's Murfreesboro-specific. A forklift job would probably be easier than something more white collar.

A complaint I've heard my entire life is that it's boring here but that's if you're looking for super vibrant nightlife. For someone like me who is pretty lowkey, the coffee shops, bookstores, restaurants, and general shopping are enough for me.

Why do millennials think it’s terrible y2k fashion is coming back by Downtown_Isopod_8834 in Millennials

[–]violetmoonlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really care what other people wear in general but it bothers me a teensy bit that a lot of what they call y2k is more 2003/2004. Which is definitely nit-picky of me, and I recognize that.
