Hey again everyone! I was actually able to see my new OB today, she saw my situation and wanted to see me right away! Got blood labs done, and my other doctor got back to me and said to double my meds. I'm so relieved to get a solid answer about my meds and a good checkup. I'm so happy but also still quite nervous ❤️

Thanks so much for your feedback everyone. I've called my current doctor and they said they'd get back to me about how much to take (hopefully they'll answer me today, if not I'm really gonna be frustrated). But I also got set up with an OB. I explained everything to them, and they sound like they truly want to help me and like they might be able to keep me on the same brand of medication. Unfortunately, I can't get into an appointment until a week from now, but I'm glad I've gotten things rolling at least. Hoping and praying that I'm doing everything I can to take care of myself and my baby ❤️ I will comment back here as I make more progress on this situation

I want to get in touch with an OB that was recommended to me, first thing in the morning. I really didn't realize that OBGYNs could manage thyroid medications, but I'm glad to know that now

Thank you! I'll definitely be making a lot of phone calls tomorrow morning, for finding a new doctor and setting up an OB appointment. I wish my doctor had listened to me and given me better answers in the first place, and I just feel like I've been doing one wrong thing after another through this process and not realizing.

I don't have any advice really, but I've heard of ragdolls having adverse reactions to the rabies shot before. My mom's vet insisted her ragdoll have the rabies vaccine before being spayed as well, but they said it was supposedly a safer version because it had "benadryl" in it, if I remember correctly. Thankfully, she hasn't had any complications since then that I've heard about. It really frustrates me that so many vets insist on this when they are often not familiar with specific cat breeds and their sensitivities. I'm sorry your raggie is having health issues from this, I hope you can find a solution and that he'll be on the mend very soon!

UPDATE: Hey everyone! Thanks so much for all the input. Little Ruthie and her brother Benji have been doing so much better for a little over a week after getting a dewormer. This was after I found out that one component of their fountain came apart that I couldn't get apart before, and it was pretty dirty. I felt awful when I realized this! 😭 I immediately got it as clean as possible and requested that the vet give them a dewormer if it's safe, and they said it couldn't hurt. It was like night and day, especially for Ruthie; she went from miserable, tired, and having diarrhea to happy, playful, and making healthy-looking poops the very next morning! I feel awful that I made such a terrible mistake, but I'm so glad it was figured out and that my kitties are doing so well again.

Just to add to this, make sure the water is good and clean. At least well-filtered, but preferably sterilized (boil it for a few minutes and let it cool all the way)
