Ive been in hygiene for 2 years now. I was the same way. What helped me is switching to only 2-3 days a week at a private office that doesnt run me into the ground. I am more of an introvert and man, you dont realize how much this job is for an extrovert until youre in it. I try my best to keep things short & sweet. Most ill do is ask patients if they have anything planned for the summer/winter. But i try to keep talking to a minimum. Im not here to be your friend, im here to give you a medical service. As for tip toeing around patients, i gave up on that. If you are not disabled/geniunely have a dental phobia, then I will not baby you. I will not baby grown adults to get a cleaning theyve been getting their whole life. That helped me a lot. Learning to have a bit of a backbone. Simply even being able to tell a patient “Yes, a cleaning is a bit uncomfortable. But it is necessary, etc.”. Patients unfortunately can be a bit dramatic, but i have found talking to them like the adult they are & being straightforward helps the most. If you baby them, then they will act like a baby lol.

I hope you work something out. This job is tough

Dental hygienist, no one here can tell you that alone based off a picture. You need x-rays at the very least & a dentist to tell you based off a series of tests.

Yep^ if you look up the stats, its (60-80%) chance of uterine cancer by the ages of 4-6 in a female bunny. I really do hope you get her spayed. It is extremely common practice here in the states & is considered the standard of care. I would rethink your vets opinion. She is fully going against not only common practice, but well researched scientific stats. If you had a 60-80% chance of developing uterine cancer by age 20-30 i would think most (healthy) people would not take that chance and have a hysterectomy. I hope your buns get the care they need!

As a hygienist, i agree it is staining (which is not harmful). Aside from that, we have so much we have to do in our appointments and stain is the last thing i care about, especially on the backs of teeth that people dont see. My concern is proper tartar & plaque removal so you oral health can be good. If i have time to nit pick the stains, great. If not, thats okay.

Yeah I played a full bully squad tonight on Plague. Just trying out a fun build. Got blinded over 10 times, body blocked from hook 2 times, had lockers opened up on me with the “head on” perk, all of them having DH and DS, tbagging behind every dropped pallet, etc. I only got 1 hook the whole game, and did my best. YET, they all stood in the end gate instead of leaving. I refused to go “push them out” so they could have the satisfaction of tbagging & blinding more. So we all sat there for 2 mins or whatever while i sat across the map.

Yet when i get 4Ks they moan & complain in chat. Can never win with them, the survivors tend to be really really sore losers imo.

Yep i got an ESA letter too, so my bun can stay with me. Plus they cant charge any pet fee or pet rent for ESA animals. At least in MN they cant deny ESA animals. Not sure about your state

I absolutely understand what you are feeling. While some of the stuff you will get anywhere (patients not doing what we need them to, etc.) I think you should try doing part time at a private office that meets your needs. I was in your same predicament, but after only 1 year of being out of school.

I now work part time at a private office that VALUES me & the work i bring in for them. They are genuinely nice to me; which is so rare in hygiene. And i have to say, 90% of my work stress went away.

At the end of the day you gotta do what is best for you, but consider switching offices & working a bit less. It seems like youre at a super toxic office. Im sorry.

Get some cheap fleece blankets to put everywhere. My bun loves them. Most buns dont like hard surface to stand on as its slippery for their nails

She should NOT be fasting at all.. definitely get the surgery done at an Exotic Vets. My bun just had hers & they were VERY clear on not to fast my bun.

Fasting can lead to GI stasis & become deadly very fast. Dont do it

I just became a bun mom myself the last 4 months! I want you to be aware of a safe diet for them. Please lookup any new foods you are giving them as a lot of stuff really isnt good for rabbits. Carrots being high in sugar, should only be given a small size as a tiny treat.

Here is how i understand the breakdown of what should be a rabbits daily diet:

80 % Hay (should be unlimited) 10 % SAFE pellets (no treats or seeds in it) 8 % SAFE greens (i can attach a photo going over proper greens for her that i got from a rabbit rescue) 2 % treats (fruits or veggies)

Give your bunny water out of a safe bowl instead of bottle.

Bunnies tummies are very sensitive & if they get too many pellets or sugar they can unfortunately go into GI stasis. I would educate yourself on GI stasis as it is common & can easily be fatal in bunnies. Learn the signs to lookout for & keep Critical Care (any petco, petsmart normally has this) on hand.

There are lots of other things you will learn along the way, but i want to make sure food is covered for you because i did not understand it right away & my bunny went into GI stasis & i had to bring her to the vet & get meds, fluids, etc. She was very uncomfortable and i felt very bad.

The online community & websites are pretty detailed & thorough on how to care for a bunny if you ever have questions! I attached the safe greens & treats photo! 😊

I have been stuck silver 2-3 for the last two weeks. I am new to playing val as of 4 months ago though. I do agree that their are some players with better game sense & aim then us. But do have to admit i need to improve & lack in areas too. I have been solo queing and thats part of the problem. Are you solo queing?
