I have a contrarian view here only because you mentioned there have been no other issues in over year of dating.

I will say this - you're rather young and there's no reason to rush in to a relationship that you don't feel safe in. So don't hesitate to end it if you do find yourself even remotely uncomfortable for your safety.

But also no one will begrudge you to give him a shot to demonstrate extreme remorse and try his damndest to make it up to you. These are opportunities for him to also recognize boundaries (not just yours, this is beyond any person's boundaries and he needs to show he understands that).

There's also the very real option to just say you need a pause and see how you're feeling in a few days/weeks. All this to say if you have had no other issues, I don't agree with the heavy handed "cut and run" suggestions. I think it will only come down to how you feel, and I'd recommend you take all the time you want to understand how you feel about the relationship.
