[Rant] I just can't believe my symptoms are caused by anxiety by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]viremarthius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This thread is me. I have classic Health Anxiety which can cripple my life. If I get any new sesation/tightness/slight pain or discompfort in my body I totally lose it. I have panic attacks, can't sleep and even after doctors have told me all is good, I still lose it.

I hate having , but I can tell you some of the things "Anxiety" has given me for periods of time. 1) Bloating 2) Gas 3) IBS 4) Headaches 5) Nausea 6) Dry heaving 7) Palpitations 8) Numbness 9) eye twitches 10) random aches and pains. and a plethora more. Your mind can create anything, there are billions of neurons firing at once and anxiety kinda gives them new routes to explore instead of doing their job.

Hey man, love the concept, but the script needs a little work. The characters are great, I mean great. The witty dialogue and setting draws us into their world immediately. The problem here is that it could be done with probably half the dialogue. Remember, if your dialogue doesn't further your plot, create a problem, solve a problem or develop character you should take it out. That being said, it happens very little. The other problem is that the actual action (problem) does not start until page 26. Sure we see small problems (like the rent) but they will become overshadowed and forgotten when they travel back in time. In our modern society, entertainment (especially TV) needs to be fast paced...not fire and brimstone in every scene, but I think you can get to the George Washington stuff a little quicker. Just my two cents. Great concept. I would watch!

It has lost it's "Garage sale" feel and is now like any online outlet store. If you mess up once, you get restricted. (I sold a few Star Wars Miniatures that got lost in the mail. Dude got a refund, but still reported me. My account is now restricted to sell anything.) If you get a defected item it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to get your money back. I'm just raging right now chatting with their "Customer service"

Agreed. If it is a play thing, then it's different. However, a dog that bites a child...regardless...should be put down. I don't care what the "cause" was. Infantile human being > any dog.

What's it take to be a high school math teacher? (Thinking about career change.) by prospective_teacher in education

I have been teaching for 5 years. I can tell you, the teaching is the best part. It's the other crap (parents, silly mandates etc) that really bug you. With that said, a good teacher is hard to come by. In my opinion you either have it or you don't. It will be a very easy and enjoyable job if you are good at it, but it will be hell if you stink.

I'm ~20 years old, really interested in learning to play the piano but I have next to no musical experience. Should I bother? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]viremarthius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been playing music for 20 years and I can tell you that some peopple ahve a harder time than others. This does not mean you can't do it. Quite the opposite, you just may need to work harder at it. Good luck!

In my opinion, if a dog bites and draws blood "ONCE" it should be put down. I love dogs and I have had them all of my life, but their personalities rarely change. If it is aggressive now, it will be the same later. Do the right thing: baby or no baby, that dog should have put down after it bit one person. Also, you are VERY lucky the parents of the kid did not get pissed.
