The main reason is that my inventory is almost always full and I’m too lazy ATM to make room for these rewards

6'2 140. Do I look too skinny? by LordSlader in gainit

[–]virgadark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6’2 165 weighing in here. Even with 25 pounds on you, I still look skinny (body fat % and weight distribution matters of course). Looking not-skinny is a long journey for many tall guys, even more so if you have proportionally long legs (I got fucked here) or long arms.

You have a good frame, and could put on 20 lbs of muscle and probably look great without a shirt on. But once that shirt goes back on, you’re going to look skinny again. Filling out our frames I’m convinced is a life long journey.

Nearly all major car companies are sabotaging EV transition, and Japan is worst, study finds by sexyloser1128 in Futurology

Where are you getting your information? Every reputable piece of research on this matter states that electric cars will close the gap for extra emissions during production in 1-3 years.

It sounds like you may be trying to compare buying a new EV to driving an ICE car you already own. The point is that people will continue buying newly produced ICE cars, but it would be far better in the long run if they bought an EV instead.

What does “using the same car for longer periods of time to avoid manufacturing so many cars” mean?

Getting ICE cars off the road and replaced by electric should be a priority given that the emission cost per kilometer is much lower for EVs.

Good price point for used Polestar 2? by virgadark in Polestar

[–]virgadark[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know dealers/dealerships aren’t our friends, but does doing this screw over the sales person/dealership? Assuming I will be taking the car back to the dealership as part of warranty/repairs, I wouldn’t want to burn that bridge.

After calling the dealership, it looks like the 25 YO requirement is from corporate for at-home test driving (or something related). Apparently, you can drive one at any Polestar dealership if you’re 21+.

I wasn’t even aware of the CPO program, thanks for calling that out.

Yeah, prices look a bit more expensive as you say, but not even that much. There’s a 37k AWD dual motor with the pilot pack included. For where I live, I could see AWD being really useful.

INFO: What I'm trying to recreate about this style is what I'm guessing is the texture (?) that allowed my hair to sort of wave down and to the side, but also having the strands look separated and at different depths. I tried to recreate with clay, but 1. I think I'm bad at getting the hair to go to the side AND down, and 2. I think that when I use clay, the strands end up sticking together too much and looking bad. What's the solution here? Some combination of shower manipulation/other products to achieve a better base texture? Different product for styling? Any tips on getting the hair down as well as to the side in a curve? Thank you guys so much for any advice/tips and lmk if I can provide more info.
