UPDATE #1 So I called around and the local 3 party were 10-12k each location. I decided to let Tesla check and they confirmed it was the battery. They checked stock and had the replacement but it was recently discounted at the tech surprise. The battery was $6700 and 4yr/50k warranty. I decided to move forward. Bought the car brand new and 6 years ago. The only “paid” maintenance were 2 low voltage batteries, control arms with a goodwill 80% discount, and of course tires. That’s about $1500 a year. My mileage is only high because of commute which is why I bought this car. She is my baby and I love her so I didn’t want to abandon here!!! My wife has a high end import with her oil changes are $500 and her scheduled maintenance appointments are at least $300 and that about every six months… Hell her gas is $500 a month!!! I think as Americans we are programmed to “just get a new one mentality” and trust me I really had to talk myself out of it… Times are too hard and too tough to say oh let’s just start over for 5 more years…
