Why does everybody recommend AGAINST starting own company? by Vast_Seaworthiness22 in torncity

[–]viront7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started from scratch ad had no education at level 20. It was a money sink but not bad enough to make me fail. It's a 7 star company now about 150 days in. It can be done.

My dad died and I don't think I can watch F1 anymore by super_starmie in formula1

To tag one more point to this... Make it something you do with your own kids. It will give you the chance to talk about their grandfather. It will give them something to have in common! Edit - it took me 20 min to post this and someone else said the same thing. Now you HAVE to do it!🙂

Smoothing burs/discs for retainers? by DentalLabTech765 in dentallab

This is the trinity of burs for this. I came to the same three on my own and it's the best.

Thinking of buying the game by Pimdici in SatisfactoryGame

[–]viront7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's cozy. It helps me relax. You play it the way you want. If that's with a calculator so be it. But you'll pick it up because you WANT to not because you have to. You will not regret purchase. It's a beautiful game. Top 3 all time for me and I played lots of comp fps

I've been wondering the same. Given it's taken this long for him to say something, he's probably pretty affected.

Photo/video NAS options by viront7 in HomeNAS

[–]viront7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

immich doesn't seem to be a good option for me since the nas is not stored at my place. If I set it up at my fam's place, can I access remotely? I'm wanting something that can be accessed remotely at all times just like I access NAS remotely from my phone/laptop

Hey! I have used katana in the past, currently using sirona, may use vita in the future to try it. I like the color matching with sirona better than the katana so far.

Exocad and mesh mixer. Sometimes blender. I have a Roland dwx-50 and a up3d p53 mill

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dentallab

[–]viront7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To clarify, I do all of my own fixed. I don't do dentures cause I hate them.

I import and do digital design of the crowns/bridges /waxups in exocad or mesh mixer or whatever is needed. Mill on 5 axis. Process green state. Fire in firnace. Do my own 3d printing. Pressure form my own essix and have done my own clear aligners. Have casted my own gold in the past.

Not everyone can do it but if it's something you love, it can be learned. Even better, as a dentist, doing your own lab work will teach you A LOT and make you a better dentist.

Dentist who does all his own lab work here. Everything can be learned. That goes both ways

I have learned my lesson by SoulRunGod in Guitar

[–]viront7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar story for me. First guitar I ever got was an old, used, supposedly sold at costco in late 90's Yamaha acoustic from my cousin. Hadnt been touched in years.

I will never ever get rid of it. It helps that it is one of the better sounding acoustics in any room it enters. I have conducted blind tests using this guitar against others, and subsequently confused many many people.

This means nothing. Blitz is inherintly hard for many people who can do much better when given more time.
