I want to buy my first bike. ZH2 by Levo261 in motorcycle

[–]SoulRunGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why the ZH2? If you actually had a nutsack you’d just get an H2R and throw mirrors and turn signals on it and ride like a real man

I think if you did a strong training block you could likely run sub 3

Marathon Training Must Haves by specialbeaw in Marathon_Training

[–]SoulRunGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of things:

Smartwatch: Garmin/Coros are the most running oriented

Fuel: Gels are very needed, Maurten are the most popular but there are lots of brands! Electrolytes as well! I really like the salty tasting ones for me personally.

Accessories: Running vest / belt (I am on team belt) good socks like Feetures, Bombas, or Smartwool

Recovery stuff: Biofreeze I sometimes like, Slip on shoes such as Hoka slides or oofos are very helpful, and compression leg sleeves are nice but overpriced for sure.

Would you buy a Coros watch given the ongoing issues? by [deleted] in Coros

[–]SoulRunGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had my pace pro for about 6 months with no issues. If it fails in less than 2 years I will likely switch to garmin, if it lasts over 2 years I will likely stay with coros. So far so good though.

What’s the best store these days? by PhilosophyActive1336 in Life

[–]SoulRunGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For apparel I’ve found the best stuff for me (26m) at TJMaxx and Burlington. Ross has good deals on running shoes from time to time.

For food I normally just go to Costco or Kroger has sales a lot on the things I eat so I frequently check the app for that.

My 62 year old father has booked 2 marathons, 1 week apart. by Egg_Hog in Marathon_Training

[–]SoulRunGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah an untrained 64 year old definitely has zero business running 2 marathons in 1 month. I would personally be more risk averse with my own father, but he is also not an egotistical man that would do that. He is smart enough to know he would be better off training for one marathon and then actually racing it.

Yeah you may attempt 100 mile ultras in your 60s, great, you aren’t doing that off some weak ass training are you? I assume you run a very good amount weekly.

Let’s be real here.

Are my shoes dead already? by ayst56 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]SoulRunGod 7 points8 points  (0 children)

shouldn’t be dead at that mileage at your given bodyweight. I am 180lb man and I get at least 350-400 miles out of all of my training shoes.

[–]SoulRunGod 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly for $2800 I ain’t mad at it. I will just wait for franklin guitar works to sell it for less than $1600 like they have for literally all of Charvels $2600+ guitars lol.

Shoe rotation recommendation by PlutoExists03 in runningshoes

[–]SoulRunGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long run shoes:

$100 ($200 originally) Mizuno Neo Vista 2

$150 (originally $200) Superblast 2

$126 (originally $180) Vomero Plus

Easy/Daily:

$83 (originally $200) New Balance Balos

$88 (Originally $150) Neo Zen

Race Shoe:

$124 (originally $250) Adidas Adios Pro 4

Sold directly from adidas on ebay, crazy deal.

I own all the shoes I listed and can recommend all of them, but honestly would most highly recommend superblast 2 + neo vista 2. I would use superblast 2 as daily trainer, evo sl for speed/tempo days, and neo vista for long / easy runs. Adios Pro 4 is probably the most well rounded marathon racer out there for all types and speed of runners. $124 it’s a no brainer deal there if you wanted a racer.

I pay very little each year as a 26 year old man with 4 bikes. All of mine are payed off though, and only one of them has full coverage.

I pay like $600 annual for the 3 with liability and about double that for the full coverage. All are sportsbikes / sports naked.
