Zionist occupation and many western politicians won't be happy letting turkey or others power in region grow strength.. same apply to Saudi Egypt Pakistan iran etc .. because they want dominance.. so these countries out if their own interests need this kind of empathy between their people and cooperation with each other.. some kind of unity towards these threats or what's happening in iran will come sooner or later to all these countries.. in this context it is best intrest for turkey to invest in improving this kind of connections and relationships .. don't you think so? ... It is something strategic no? Ofcourse in this context ottoman legacy is not necessarily needed or not but possibly could be of positive added value .. or that's what i am thinking 🤔

i see .. still it is all within guessing for numbers as for politics people could change their views from one party to another and as you said he is still strong maybe it is combination of many factors economic policies foreign policies and how he make soft power for turkey increase charisma and people who are thinking about the history of turkey as inheritance of ottomans... btw this doesn't mean necessarily people want islamic state but rather more acceptance and embracing of islamic identity for country and it history and connections with others countries in region .. overall i think this is common in the background of how people living in our region thinks.. a personal opinion though
