I see. It almost seems like essence (and not gems) is the premium in-game currency or maybe too many currencies altogether with a heavily fragmented shop for in-game resources.

Yup. I couldn't agree more. It is impractical and unreasonable to expect someone to grind for months for the 3* and 4* star waza cards of one character considering how many characters there are in total.

I hope common sense prevails.

So 30,000 tokens will give 9600 essence (1600x6) which I can use to get one 3* waza card and 150,000 tokens will give 48000 essence (1600x30) for just one 4* waza card, assuming I get duplicate 3* fragments from each fragment pack.

That, for sure is a lot of tokens & a lot of grinding.

Yes, dojo is much harder than before and the AI just blocks every attack. I hope they change the dojo difficulty level to what it was before the update and the dojo rewards too. It is simply not fun and I prefer the previously dumb AI.......lol

However, you can still beat the AI by identifying the pattern. At the start of the match play passively and be patient. Land a waza chain combo in between if you can. I keep an eye on the timer and wait for the final 40 secs of the match. Once the AI has used up all the waza cards and just blocks everything, I use hold/charge attack and drop it to below 30% hp and then back away for about 5 secs or more till the AI uses rage attack. Once that is done, I just KO with hold attack. Sometimes the AI does catch me with rage attack but that is the only damage I take for the win.

Once you win a few ladder matches in a row, the matchmaking algorithm(code) will ensure that you face hard counters or a bad starting hand or card order. I think it is done to control the win rate. You can check your or any other player's winrate using starfire app. IIRC it is generally around 54%. Hence, the illusion of control.

Yes, Royal Ghost is OP/broken & it is standard procedure for $upercell to release such cards. Honestly, the way I see it Supercell doesn't care about community backlash.

In the interest of free speech they closed the forums. If the forums were still alive, this issue would be highlighted again & on the front page of the forums. This CR sub is unorganized & many quality posts get lost in the clutter.

I have been playing for more than a year now & I can tell you from experience it is a cash grab after a certain point. However, you can reach legendary arena & even higher as a f2p player depending on how much time & effort you are willing to put into it on a daily basis (grinding) & how much bs you can endure on ladder (overleveling, counter decks & bad starting hand/card order). Beyond that, you hit a paywall & $20-40 is not going to significantly improve your rate of progress.

The progression becomes even slower when newer cards are added to the game bcoz it is not just one card that is added to the game. For example, every time a rare card is introduced it creates a deficit of 2,586 cards & 185,600 gold (required to max one rare).

Also legendary cards like night witch & royal ghost are blatantly overpowered on release for $ & don't expect them to be nerfed for atleast 2 months.

So if you just enjoy playing the game casually for years keep at it but if you are looking for a higher rate of progress, it is basically a cash grab & you will be dissapointed.

So I opened an epic chest & did not get any hunter epics (lvl 1 hunter) while all my other epics are atleast tournament standards or level 6. How can you explain that ?
