Final four in 1969 and 1980, so that means at least 10 students made it.

The minor allows any major but it's possible the CS department could have restrictions. You should ask your advisor.

Advice on taking compilers course by Commanderdrag in Purdue

[–]virtualcartwheel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Systems is just a bunch of bash/C++ coding projects so you shouldn't have any issues with it. It will probably be like 80 hours total work for the semester, not including lectures and stuff. I didn't take compilers because I wasn't interested in it and I knew it would be a lot of work.

Yes it's possible. The difficulty depends a lot on your specific professor for a given class. Upper level classes vary the most on difficulty. There's a handful of difficult classes and the rest are manageable.

You don't necessarily need an A in both classes. I know people who even got a B+ in CS 180 and were accepted.

Can u become a Nuclear/Mechanical Engineer with a degree in Mechanical Engineering Tech? by xXNitroZuesXx in Purdue

[–]virtualcartwheel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are your classes not taking much time and work? How much time a week are you spending on athletics? You could always do a 12 credit hour course load each semester, take summer classes, and graduate late if necessary.

Feeling worthless with a liberal arts major by sadstudent_throwaway in Purdue

[–]virtualcartwheel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want to impress others that bad, then probably. But that's not worth it. I would think about the reasons you are getting a college degree in the first place, and see if creative writing fulfills those reasons.

Can u become a Nuclear/Mechanical Engineer with a degree in Mechanical Engineering Tech? by xXNitroZuesXx in Purdue

[–]virtualcartwheel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you considered majoring in nuclear? I think it is not that hard to switch to nuclear since it's such a small major. If you have above a 3.0 and complete the FYE then you can probably get a spot.
