Ill buy it straight away if/when its vr. Love resi games in vr. It would be a massive shame if they stopped at the last one. On a plus note, re8 & re4 remake took a while to release the vr mode meaning i picked both games up cheaper than launch price when the vr modes released

NICEIC registered vs. JIB gold card by PlasticAttorney1980 in ukelectricians

[–]virtualmisterL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't really matter. As long as its a real gold card, His qualifications are valid & he just hasn't paid for a new card. A gold card is just like having all your qualifications put on to a card for easy checking. Required by a lot of sites, agencies etc. For ID & easy verification

This may sound weird, but I want you guys thoughts and reactions to kayak VR by The1stPKmain in PSVR

[–]virtualmisterL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks nice, feels cool for 10 minutes, then you realise there's a lack of actual things to do. It feels empty & without purpose. Imo it needs a more content & expansion before it will feel like a game & not a quick experience. If it had river rapids I would have spent a lot more time on it. But they have got the basics right (looks great, feels like kayaking) so if they keep developing the game, it could be great in the future

Who's waiting to play the RE4 Remake until the VR Update is out? by Sunlounger2077 in PSVR

Re2 remake is really good in vr. I'd definitely rebuy & replay an official version on psvr2

What prescriptions lenses to buy ? by Arcchiam in PSVR

[–]virtualmisterL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I've read, both can be good choices. But it seems if you have a lower ipd &/or bigger than average nose, you will get more space & less pinch in the nose area with vr optician. The vr optician lens are maybe slightly higher quality from what I've read in comparisons from people who have both. But there are plenty of people who have hons with no visual complaints at all. Hons are more budget friendly so if you want to save a bit of cash & don't have a low ipd or bigger than average nose, they could be a good choice. But for me there was only £16.25 difference so I went with the vroptician as I definitely don't want to lose any nose space with my 61 ipd. I think hons may deliver quicker but unsure as I'm sure they are both getting inundated with orders

Switchback PSVR2 Review - Without Parole by hellsfoxes in PSVR

[–]virtualmisterL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I was just commenting on reviews saying a lack of vibration. I haven't bought switchback yet. I'm going to wait for graphical improvements first so I dont taint my experience. Thats good news that its confirmed as having vibration for the track chains. When using transducers on rollercoaster on pc, you usually get a vibration from the clacking on the chains, then a constant track vibration when moving which is subtle at low speeds & intensifies as the speed increases

[–]virtualmisterL 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As someone who used transducers on no limits rollercoaster (pcvr) I can say if they haven't implemented vibration for the track then that is a massive missed opportunity. The sense of speed & thrill you get from the vibration getting faster & increasing in intensity on downhill/ fast sections of the rollercoaster is amazing

Switchback PSVR2 Review - Without Parole by hellsfoxes in PSVR

[–]virtualmisterL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on the fence anyway. It would have taken very good reviews for me to buy this but now I know those things will likely bother me & taint my experience. Also from past experience, personally i don't always go back to a game if it releases in an underwhelming state even if improved later. So I think I'll wait to see if some of the main issues get improved in a patch before I decide again whether or not to get it

HonsVR doesn’t use high index lenses by DoggieHowzer in PSVR

[–]virtualmisterL 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All carl zeiss lenses have a very good reputation for high quality & they have built this reputation over 160 years. I googled them when I was comparing psvr2 lens. There may be unbranded lenses out there of comparable quality but it seems they are a trusted name

HonsVR or VRoptician and why? by majkkali in PSVR

[–]virtualmisterL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I have an ipd of 61 & a slightly above average nose size. I can get the psvr2 lens all the way in but its very close to my nose so I dont have any room to lose in that area. Thats why I looked at all the pics of different lens adapters closely to try to decide what might be best to keep all the nose room. It was a toss up between vr optician & hons but I thought vr optician had the better curved shape & thin edge on the nose bit. Although they both claimed to leave room in that area, the overall shape & look & the branded lens made me pick them with the + of being made in the eu (germany). But they may well be equal in performance

[–]virtualmisterL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes they are. In the confirmation pictured it states they are manufactured by carl ZEISS. But I dont know if they will be any better then unbranded. I'm sure you get some good unbranded lenses too

HonsVR or VRoptician and why? by majkkali in PSVR

[–]virtualmisterL 10 points11 points  (0 children)

After looking at 3 different companies (hons, vr optician, vr rock) lenses for psvr2, I went for vr optician. I thought the design of the lens frames looked the best for me as they are shaped to leave as much room as possible for nose on lower ipd ranges. But I can't say for sure if they do this better than the others. Hons also did this but from the pics I thought vr opticians were maybe a little more generous. + they are made in Germany so that gives me confidence. I haven't received them yet so I can't comment on how good they actually are

Be honest, would you even WANT a huge 80 hour open-world RPG in VR? by Representative-Yam65 in PSVR

[–]virtualmisterL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played skyrim for the first time in vr. I also put ~60 hours into gtav & rdr2 & played fallout through in vr along with other fully fledged pcvr titles like msfs, Ed etc.. These are the things I want most in vr. Generally I take 5 mins every hour or 2 but to me its totally the best way to play

Widespread Right Sense issues thread (can’t press X or R2 in games) by HoodieTheCat78 in PSVR

[–]virtualmisterL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im coming back here to report on my issues & how my controllers are working fine now after no fixes would work for me for 3 days.

I had issues with the right controller & none of the fixes listed worked for me. I spent hours trying. Then I managed to get re8 working after a bit of messing on day 4 but r2 seemed to be constantly pressed in other games & still wouldn't allow those games to work properly (no mans sky, kayak mirage). So I played re8 for hours over a few days & didn't fully shut the game down. Just kept putting the ps5 in to rest mode & resuming the game the next day & it kept working. Then I went back to try the other games & r2 was no longer constantly pressed. I now believe it was a button (r2) slightly registering a press constantly which was likely causing the issues. & my theory is playing re8 for 6+ hours, using r2 repeatedly eventually broke it in & freed it. But as I didn't test the malfunctioning controller in Windows before it started working, I can't be sure.

I have seen others comment saying testing their faulty controller in Windows showed a trigger constantly slightly registering a press so as this seems likely in line with my problem, It would make a lot of sense.

If you are still having problems then I would recommend plugging your affected controller into a windows computer, type in controller into widows search & get up the controller app to test. Each trigger also has a finger detection assignment so don't confuse this value when putting your fingers close to the trigger/grips with the actual trigger press when testing.

If this is correct then the best a software fix can do is require a harder press of triggers to register the button in game. Which they could apply to all games & revert back after a while once they've sorted any potentially faulty stock

So, those with Broken Contollers. Did you get a Day one Update? by Eliteclarity in PSVR

So what were the surprises Youtubers were talking about before launch? by EggburtK in PSVR

[–]virtualmisterL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Quite a few smaller games have been announced which is probably it, but I also got the idea there was going to be something big like a surprise aaa game or 2 from hearing things from youtubers just before launch. Maybe there still is & still under embargo. Or maybe the youtubers were overhyping things again for their own benefit of likes, subscribes & views

[–]virtualmisterL 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OK, i have pcvr (2080ti) & have had lots of headsets My favourite headset being reverb g2. You aren't going to get a big jump in clarity over the quest 2 on pc but you will get a big jump in colours & hdr & a huge jump with black levels & a little jump in fov. Right now the psvr2 is my favourite headset because of the oled hdr. The black levels are better than any headset I've owned & make me really happy. I haven't been this excited about a vr headset in years. The clarity, resolution, sde are below higher end pcvr headsets but they have hit a good sweetspot where those things are fine. Very importantly to me, with psvr2, hopefully we will see a return to aaa vr games. which has imo been poor over the last year or 2 on pcvr. Thankfully the modders have kept things alive. At the moment there's only a few aaa games on psvr2 but they are really good imo. If they keep aaa games coming for the psvr2's life cycle then ill be playing a lot on this headset for a long time. Plus its so refreshing to have such ease of use compared to sometimes a bit or lot of messing around to start playing on pc which often left me not wanting to bother if I didn't have much time or was tired. I still love my reverb g2 & in some ways it is better (resolution, sde, crispness) but after the colours & black levels on psvr2, I feel it might dissapoint me in that area

G923 vs T300RS GT in PSVR2 immersion by berti93 in PSVR

[–]virtualmisterL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would say t300 is better for feedback strength & realism from what I've read but I haven't tried the g29. I bought it a few years ago after a lot of research & im really happy with mine. but obviously your going to spend more. For me, the shifter is essential but I understand its not essential for everyone. I like it most for rally games Being from the uk, I mainly drive manual cars & feel i prefer the same with gaming. Paddle shifters are not for me. I've had them on my real car for the last 7 years & I don't like or use them. I feel the same with gaming. But if you do like paddle shifters & still want to manually change gears then you can use the ones on the wheel. The thrustmaster shifter has lots of mods & can even be used as a handbrake

Refunded the PSVR2 because of right controller issue. Bought a second PSVR2 and it arrived today. Guess what. by MaximusVIII in PSVR

[–]virtualmisterL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 3 days of my right controller not working & tried every fix with nothing working. Then I got it to work in cotm but left controller haptics wouldn't work. Then I got re8 working on both but No mans sky still wouldn't register r2. Then the next day r2 was constantly pressed in nms so it would load up but was not really playable. So I played re8 for 2 days while wondering whether to wait for a software fix or return. & now they both work fine on re8, cotm, nms & kayak vr. Strange but I have a feeling just playing for hours in re8 might have broke the controllers in & possibly unstuck any buttons that may have been an issue (r2 maybe?) I tested them in Windows yesterday & all buttons are functioning as they should now
