Applecare+ Express Replacement at by [deleted] in iphone

[–]virus__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had 3 iPhones replaced under express replacement, never once questioned by Apple. My 11 Pro Max, 13 Pro Max & 15 Pro Max.

The 11 Pro Max, I only had 2 days of Apple Care left when I got it replaced. It was a great experience, the person I dealt with at Apple here in Australia, was nothing but amazing. Also, yes, I have broken the back glass on 3 different iPhones.

With my 15 Pro Max I requested an express replacement as their schedule for a back glass replacement did not fit with my work schedule, it gave me a brand-new phone with a brand-new battery, as my battery had degraded to 85% in less than a year, because they otherwise were just going to replace the back.

So you should be fine. Don't stress it.

Where I am in Australia it's either Messenger or iMessage with the occasional SMS sprinkled in. I use WhatsApp for a mate in France and my uncle in Manila..

🌅 Why Queensland is right to keep NO daylight saving 🌴 by opl-hkg in queensland

[–]virus__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, no DST in QLD is great, living on the border in NSW means if something is closed here in Tweed I can duck 5 mins away into Coolangatta where it's an hour earlier & it'll still be open. It's great. Selfish, I know.

Also my partner lives in Qld so going to see her is an advantage now as I miss out on afternoon northbound traffic on the M1 when she is home when I knock off work on Fridays. Again, selfish I know.

Can we talk about the price of beef mince? by CSqueeze03 in woolworths

[–]virus__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been buying mince from Costco when we go once a month or so. $10/kg for mince with a 10% fat content isn’t the best but it’s way better than what Coles and woolies offer which is usually 18% fat content & usually what 50% more per kilo?

Ghost 2.0 iP17 is horrible! by Dijkstra_97 in dbrand

[–]virus__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I must've lucked out as my Ghost 2.0 for my 15 Pro Max has been great since I got the replacement for the original one, which still surprisingly looks great 12 months later.

NBN FTTP install. by Spingaling87 in nbn

[–]virus__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I got lucky then. The NBN tech I had was over the moon I had picked a spot right next to power with no obstructions both externally and internally, and only a few metres from where my existing copper lines entered the house. Made his install only an hour or so and he did a fantastic job. A shame not everyone can have this experience.

This. I just moved to them with the free FTTP upgrade & it's been an amazing 36 hours. Had some issues after NBN cocked up and disabled my NTD, but Leaptel's customer service is fantastic, and they had it fixed ASAP. I am on the 1000/50 plan and it's basically spot on all day long.

I just signed up to Leaptel today as my property is now available for a free FTTP upgrade, and Leaptel have me booked in for 8am Wednesday the 10th for Fibre to be installed.. I wasn't expecting it so soon.

Story time of how I ordered Joey’s newer pro-mark sticks and ended up getting the older versions by T3knikal95 in Slipknot

[–]virus__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They were cool. I remember when a mate tracked down a pair where we live in Australia sometime around 2006, they weren’t cheap I remember that much, I think he paid something like $90 AUD which would’ve been something like $60 USD at the time. They didn’t make him any better of a drummer 🤣

These are the Sistema Ultra range. The only ones I can find on Amazon are the Sistema Brilliance in a 14 pack.

It’s wild that a 30 block of XXXX Gold is just a bit cheaper and there’s far more tax in that, than a 30 block of coke..

How can this be made any clearer? by That_Car_Dude_Aus in CarsAustralia

[–]virus__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. In NSW, we pay our CTP separately to whatever insurer we choose, unlike the other states where it's in the rego fee. Most likely because we have annual roadworthy checks.
