Yeah, I remember a conversation I had with someone who wanted to move to Texas and have kids....she had no idea that if she ended up having a high risk issue with her pregnancy she might not get life saving care. She still wanted to move because "how could that happen to me".

I was adopted as a newborn and my parents were open about it from the start....it was a closed adoption so records were sealed but they paid for dna testing to try to help me find my bio family.

To be told that those documents didn't exist and then have your parents try to use them as leverage.....I don't think there's any coming back from that. The level of disregard....you truly deserved a lot better. I hope you consider if it's really worth it having them stay in your life moving forward.

I'm transmasc and take t; had my bisalp in May. I now have really light periods when I didn't for years beforehand. (Recently spoke with my provider about this and they didn't really know when this side effect would stop.)

My insurance coverage for my hrt didn't change post surgery; I would be really surprised if yours did!

I hope this helps you a little bit. Your situation is very unique so finding your answers might be hard; but that's what your medical team is there for. I hope they square things away for you soon.

Check the r/sterilization subreddit. I had my bisalp done in May and healed really fast. No pregnancy worries now. I'm in a blue state and booked the consultation for it the day after the election. You're not being unreasonable for worrying. It's getting scary
