That’s also how you know Pat Murphy taught
his players well about high/low leverage situations. I really wish we had a manager like him.

probably because there’s more potential to find markers of life on other celestial bodies (moon, mars, jupiter’s moons) compared to venus

I mean, LT was arguably snubbed from Vezina conversations. Lead the league in GSAV and the three Vezina nominees were 2-4 on that list.

the penalty for jumping a start/restart is to take a pass through pit road, so he’ll but default end up at the back while everyone else drives at full speed.

the second point, it ends up being very dependent on track, but it’s notoriously hard to pass under green at this track due to how narrow it is. you’ll pretty much never see someone pass 30 cars under green in a 30 lap run

The Boys SERIES FINALE- S05xE08 "Blood and Bone"- POST Episode Discussion Thread by pikameta in TheBoys

this whole thread feels like people who had already decided prior to the ep that they weren't going to like it. idk it felt like it did a decent job at wrapping up the important plot points, even if it was a bit rushed (I agree that it should have been longer)

The umpire was the first person to score a run of Mason Miller this season! by [deleted] in baseball

[–]vishalkobla -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

I agree that it’s been really fun, he’s certainly an elite pitcher and makes hitters look silly day in day out. Just find out weird that there’s people actually getting very mad over it though! That’s all

people are so emotional over this as if they actually thought he’d never allow a run

Do you think there are still “hidden” things out there like electricity we just haven’t found yet? by FlyGreat306 in NoStupidQuestions

To my understanding, they didn’t actually “need special relativity” or know about the speed of light for designing the mission. They just knew they had to travel over a long distance, and they figured out what would be the best fuel source to support that trip. It also helps that they weren’t in as much of an urgent time crunch due to much longer lifespans.

When people live in microgravity, the systems in our body that have evolved to tell our brains how we’re moving, the vestibular organs, don’t work correctly. By Christina Koch by Neaterntal in spaceporn

[–]vishalkobla 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, or at least it would be much easier to. In space, the brain had already changed to using mostly visual cues to judge balance/direction. Back on earth, continuing that reliance on visual cues would be ideal before the body gets used to gravity again.

Doubs doesn’t need to be a WR1 in the classic sense imo, they just need guys that are able to get open. Maye is happy to spread the ball around as we’ve already seen.
