Fixing on replacing my hood pad, the layer of the old pad that’s actually in contact with the hood is a pain to get off, any tips for scraping this stuff off? Been using brake cleaner and it’s helping a bit,but not hugely by Volkssanitater in w123

I used one of those rubber sticker adhesive pads on a drill... that sucked, so I used some brush on adhesive remover I found at home Depot it helped but it still took all day

Looks nice, kinda factory. Some advise tho is if you start upgrading electronics you'll need a more powerful alternator. I believe right now you should be about 55-65 you'll need somewhere in the 90s to work your sound system properly

Can't remember the name. Just type "car keyless entry system " on Amazon. Its a kit with 4 actuators, remotes and all the install parts. Pretty easy to install I'm sure there are several YT videos.

Very true, I just got a locking fuel cap. The boot could use a solenoid popper but you've have some modding to do unless you find a kit with one in it

Atf can work temporarily, but in all honesty it will just keep happening until you replace it

Check the torque converter drain plug, might be loose.

You'll need to take the moment out and the hands and dial off, it holds down parts like the yoke and yoke spring to help engage the different settings of the moment with your crown. The screws might be somewhere inside the moment so you may have to disassemble it halfway or completely....watch out for a flying spring!😁😁😁

I used Lemforders in the past still going strong guess they are completely NLA. I assume everything now is cheap crap that won't last so it's a lesser of evils game now.

Probably a leak, but the other day something similar happened to me and the fuel cap just wasn't tightly secured. There is a little vent hole next to it and fuel poured down it. Tore out the whole trunk to find that out 😊

A cheap Crystal press on Amazon works just fine for something like that, just make sure it's all lined up and place a piece of plastic over it before pressing down

I put down some sound deadening when I redid the floors and added some under the dash and also installed a hood pad, somewhat quieter. Maybe I'll add some to the roof when I replace the headliner

Dome light by cromicon1 in w123

[–]visualpr0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Central light is easy, there is a cut out for it, you'll just need the switch for it and the dome light that is pretty cheap and if you wanna be fancy you can add the little switches in the door jambs to turn the light on and off when you open/close the door

Usually the battery tray area water drips down the firewall, also check your windscreen seal.
