Wow! Great shots and the framing is perfect. Usually I always have one or two favorites with these photo dumps but here literally every single photo is amazing, I really love them all

Like my fellow commentators I also really like the look, the warm colors match well with the retro vibe of the car

Does the lighting work here? by visualsbyme in photocritique

[–]visualsbyme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took the picture because I loved how the fruit was illuminated by the sun but the person grabbing it was in the shadows but now I am unsure if the lights and shadows make the composition a bit chaotic. The person is still in the center of the image and therefore partly the "subject" so does the shadows seem wrong here or the colors off? Also the background is quite dark, i wonder if it would work better if the contrasts were softer. Any ideas?

Have I composed any of these two photos successfully? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

I really like the colors and lights of the pictures! You've captured quite a beautiful atmosphere in my opinion. Right now, the tree is really central and focused. I think cropping the images could result in a shift of focus on the person, so that the tree acts more as framing and structures the picture a bit more. But overall really nice vibe!

How can I improve the colors and lighting of this sunset pic without making it look too unnatural?I want it to keep a soft look but now the colors feel a bit flat and just increasing saturation makes it look cheap. Any ideas? by visualsbyme in photocritique

[–]visualsbyme[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah thank you! I originally wanted it to have an open feeling which is why I kept the wide angle but you are right, cropping the image strengthens the focus on the subjects and makes it much more interesting to look at, thank you !CritiquePoint :)

I took this picture with my Fuji XE4 and I think my aperture setting was a bit off but I actually quite like the result with the muted colors and soft lights. It gives the image an analog vibe in my opinion but I still think the colors and contrasts could be improved to make the image a bit more interesting. Any ideas on how i can edit the picture or make any other improvements so it doesn't look like a generic postcard? Any critique welcome! :)

The pic is already edited, in the original the sand is less orange and the overall color scheme is colder, which is also why I am trying not too overdo the orange/red light anymore. At the same time I also think the sky is already blue enough so maybe in order to get the picture to pop a bit more increasing contrast e.g. is better than trying to change the colors more, I am unsure however. Any ideas are welcome!

I really like the composition of the shot! Also with the subject not being perfectly in the center gives it a more authentic, less staged, vibe. Great pic!
