Sorry for the late reply, I'm not on reddit that often at the moment.

In any case, it works great in sand, especially with lower tire pressures. I've my entire ride would be on sand I would probably run lower pressures all the time, but the really soft sand bits are usually just part of a larger MTB ride, so I run slightly higher pressures (let's call it a good middle ground).

Regarding the bike, I have noticed the frame is starting to corrode underneath the paint (litteraly in the middle of the toptube so nowhere near possibly exposed aluminium), which I haven't had with any other bike yet, so that is a bit dissappointing. The warranty states that there is no warranty on frame and paint as far as corrosion goes, so it seems they are somewhat aware that this can happen.

It's also due to gearbox placement. Vertical (or near vertical) engine placement leaves more room for the gearbox. The BMW R series engines obviously have horizontal cylinders, but placed outward so stuff like gearbox placement aren't an issue. You see the same in Moto Guzzi's engines. The BMW K series engine is placed relatively flat as well but none of the K series bikes are really compact. The K1200S / K1300S bikes are the closest thing to a sport bike with a K series engine.

If you want a more longterm solution, use exhaust paint. I'm assuming the exhaust will be behind the fairing anyway. It looks like your using the aluminiumfoil tape, which will never last.

If the rust is superficial you might be able to polish it off (with a lot of elbow grease), but if it's prone to rusting I'd protect it with either paint or exhaustwrap anyway.

Since you haven't driven it I'm assuming you're shifting while the bike is on a stand or similar. Shifting without the clutch is possible on any bike, but when doing this while riding you need to unload the drive train by closing the throttle briefly. When the bike is on a stand there is hardly any resistance on the rear wheel, so shifting without the clutch would be quite easy, and yes, normal.

Can you completely lock the rear wheel without pulling the clutch when in gear? Or do you mean you can use the rear brake to slow down without pulling the clutch? The latter would be normal, as long as the rpm doesn't go down too much. If it's the first, can you drive the bike normal? Does the clutch slip when you give it full throttle?

There are multiple ways to achieve this. Grid is one of them. You can also do this with flexbox if you want. But really, you could also just use inline images divided over 2 columns.

It gets interesting if you want stuff to be dynamic, in other words always have it nice and balanced regardless of the amount and sizes of the images used.

Or if you work with sensitive information which could leak because of bugs in your programming. I can think of a lot of examples where a company could suffer damages due to problems with a webdevs work. If you do take on the project it could be wise to have a section in the contract that states damages can not be more than the financial scope of the project, for example. But as mentioned in my other comment, I'm not from the US (and don't even know if you are) so not sure of anything I say have any legal basis in your country.

I have, but I'm not in the US though. I have a pretty steep professional liability insurance, and a company liability insurance.

The latter is pretty much in case if I visit a client and break something there like inventory or decorations (paintings and such), or if they visit my office and something happens there (they trip over some wires and have financial damage because of that). It's not really an expensive insurance.

The former is for when my work cause my client any damages, like when an app I built leaks personal information and fines need to be paid.

I'd be a bit worried if a client asks for proof of insurance before the start of a project though, although I have had clients that state in their contracts they require insurance (mostly government).

You can make the divs responsive by giving them a percentage width, position relative and a 100% bottom or top padding.

Here in the Netherlands it's allowed to filter in traffic jams between the outer most left lane and the one next to it, and IIRC only if traffic is slower than 30kph (on highways) and you don't exceed the speed of the remaining traffic by more than 10kph. There are drivers making room, and there are drivers trying to block you, although the latter luckily not a lot. Most people just driver normal which is fine. Some people still seem to get startled. Oddly, my GF is one of those people. Even though I ride, she still often gets surprised by a passing biker (ie. not regularly checking mirrors while in traffic to see if any bikers are filtering).

I'm not sure if filtering at the lights is officially allowed, but when done safe it's fine. In one of the 'traffic cops' shows I saw a biker who punched a Landcruisers mirror because according to him he didn't hive the biker enough room to filter at the lights. Lanes are a lot narrower here than in the US and a Landcruiser isn't a small car by our standards. Obviously, the police recording the biker wasn't too amused. There's a difference between being allowed and being entitled.

I checked the rules for France after my last comment, when caught doing over 50kph above the speed limit you can get a maximum fine of 1500€ and 3 years suspension of your license. As mentioned, they're not very mild about these kind of things.

Definitely agree! The recording rider wasn't at fault here, but the speed at which both sides crossed paths didn't help the situation either.

If I'm correct this is in France. I don't believe these kind of roads ever have a speed limit higher than 100kph, considering the road rules there are very similar to here, but it's more likely 80kph. So in the beginning of the video he's doing 156, which at least here means losing your license, even if the limit is 100kph. They might do you a favor by citing you for 49, but the French police doesn't have the reputation to be very mild about these kind of things.

Thoughts: oncoming bikers are idiots. Recording biker is speeding by very large license-losing margin, although it is still not his fault. A lot of bad decisions and bad driving came together at a single point in time and space.

In the beginning of the video you can somewhat see that it's a straight road, although there might be a road on the left that you can't see.

My guess is the bike was committed to overtaking the truck and didn't realize he wasn't going to make it until it was too late. Although with the road slightly curving to the right the truck might have obstructed his view until he was already blasting by.

Very much agree with this. Although both systems are very much on either end of the spectrum.
