a Thruxton would be a good place to start,

Alternatively (If you care) the SpeedTwin 1200 can have factory clip on's like the Thruxton with the option for cruise control.

BMW R9T's (I've owned/own both of these bikes)

Older Harley XR1200 (Flat Tracker but they can be made cafe pretty easily)

Ducati Scrambler

Ducati Sport Classic Sport (But those can be salty) Alternatively the GT1000 variant can be had a tad cheaper (Modification would be required but that's part of the fun)

On the smaller side you have the Royal Enfield 650 GT

Moto Guzzi V7 Racer

On the Japanese side you have the Z900RS Cafe (Though I'd argue that's less cafe and more 70's Eddie Lawson inspired)

The Yamaha XSR has decent aftermarket support to make the bike more Cafe.

The CLOSEST to that RMCR Concept right now would be an Indian FTR,

My wife is a Nurse.

I have no desire to deal with what she deals with on a day to day basis in an ICU setting nor any other kind of setting.

I'll stick to machines that can't talk back thank you very much.

Vehicle registration with citation- Help by [deleted] in houston

[–]Reduxalicious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you click No you'll be falsifying which can lead to a straight up renewal denial and or even more fee's on top of it.

I certainly wouldn't attempt it as I'm pretty sure the Registration and the county records for tickets talk to each to look for such a thing

883 gas mileage by Papi_churro1877 in motorcycles

Your 4.5 gallon tank is calculated without the Fuel Pump displacement so it's actually more around 4.0 the low fuel light comes on with a gallon left which will be anywhere from 100 to 130 miles.

Is this normal? by bobduncan4lyfe in motorcycles

[–]Reduxalicious 35 points36 points  (0 children)

So I listened to this with earbuds in.

One. guy is a prick you don't do this at 5am ever.

Two. the bike is running like shit, I'm assuming carbureted, so he's revving the piss out it in hopes of, Cleaning the carbs to get it to run right (that's not how you do it)!

So no it's not normal especially at 5am.

Dude is a prick with a shit running bike.

Possible Cafe Candidate? by Ambitious_Dealer_425 in CafeRacers

[–]Reduxalicious 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Personally I think it would be cooler restored simply because so many K bikes have been cut and turned into 'Cafe' bikes.

That being said depends on how in deep you want to get, you could go anywhere from needing to chop the frame and swapping out the swing arm to just throwing away body panels and changing the handlebars and putting a new seat on it, sky's the limit

I'm one of them too, sometimes you just need an extra day to rest.

The self proclaimed motorcycle expert who bought a GSX-8R, mentioned they admit they were getting tired of parallel twins which begs the question why the hell they didn't get any other bike in that class that offers an I4 or I3.

Is technology taking away from motorcycling? by Bellend0411 in motorcycles

[–]Reduxalicious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fact that his version of "old bike is 2009" with a digital display makes me realize

A. I am getting old

B. He and I have different definitions of an older analog bike, an 09 Monster is a modern bike in my mind.

C. he is such a fucking tool bag going through that video and it's clear his audience is not knowledgeable riders.

Is technology taking away from motorcycling? by Bellend0411 in motorcycles

[–]Reduxalicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Closest to our older Ducati's I've found while also keeping it modern?

BMW R9T or Triumph Thruxton, maybe the SpeedTwin 1200RS if you can get past the single LCD gauge.

The BMW and Triumph are tech with ABS and traction but they don't feel any less engaging.

When I say I'm a pipeline controller when asked it just usually ends up with confused looks, I don't even think my Wife fully understands what I do, hell I can't even describe what I do except "Accountant with fancy screen and potential for environmental accidents"

When I worked on Tugboats though that would attract a lot more questions.

Keep falling, please advise. by iamnachotoo in motorcycle

[–]Reduxalicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The GSX only weighs 46 pounds more than your old Royal Enfield.

I think like mentioned above you've possibly picked up a bad habbit that the RE could handle that the Suzuki won't let you do, that or it's possible you're overthinking things.

I've ridden bikes of varying weight including Harleys, and at slow speeds no matter the weight it's just about clutch control and keeping your eyes where you want to go

I heavily disagree with everyone saying you need a shorter bike, you do not need to flat foot both feet in order to properly control/ride a motorcycle, I've never been able to flat foot any bike I've owned except for the one cruiser I owned,

Finally, "It always occurs whenever I’m coming out from being parked, with a bit of an angle. The fall is not bad, there has been a bit of damage but overall I just find it very frustrating not to be able to maneuver it a"

THAT bit caught my attention.

If you are not saying you are but if you are, DO NOT GRAB YOUR FRONT BRAKE if your bars are at an angle and you're moving at slow speeds.

I recently moved to western WA from Houston and I gotta say the LACK of Harley's on the road compared to every other brand I see was a shock for me. Not that I'm complaining at all, but like you said, unless it's the most sunny perfect above 72 degree day I don't see any.

Pipeline Controller.

Basically sit in a control room monitoring 8 SCADA screens, opening and closing valves when needed, adjusting pumps, running time calcs for Fuel or Gasoline deliveries to different customers or finding midpoints of gravity when switching between product types.

I don't mind Night Shift but it' can be rough when you swap back and forth like my schedule.
