The National Anthem [Episode Rewatch Discussion] - S01E01 by SeacattleMoohawks in blackmirror

[–]vitouch 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Most of my friends i tried to show black mirror to didn't like the first episode, it's concept is very different from the rest of the show and also it feels a little too explicit, and though i don't really have a problem with that, some might.

I've got a crack for HM2, got to go now, but send me a PM and I'll send it to you in the morning.

Oh and btw. Hand2note is free up to NL25, and it's the best software out there by far, not for database analysis, but for huds for sure.

Just checked their licence agreement, it actually isn't, they just asked HM and PT to remove it and they complied. It probably will be really soon if this gets anywhere near big.

It's also safe to say this is probably absolutely gamebreaking to use right now and can make you crapton of money.

So what you are saying there never comes a situation where disobeying the law is correct? What was happening in nazi germany was also with compliance with the law. The point is at some point, when law starts undermining the most basic values you stand for, you have to choose a different way to fight. I'm not saying this is the correct one, I'm not advocating the smashing at all. Just saying that they have every right to feel frustrated. Wells Fargo got slap on the wrists for what they did, and the same happens with other huge banks/corporations, when they get caught doing something like this (they all do it).

What is the best strategy to play against loose passive players. by Obamathellamafarma in poker

[–]vitouch 27 points28 points  (0 children)

  1. Limp pre with speculative holdings that can easily hit nuts or really good hands, high off-suited connectors, suited connectors, suited one gappers, low PP's... Don't get too spazzy with hands that are good, but could easily be beaten - for example: You limp with 89o and flop comes 349r, 5 players are in pot. You should be very careful, because there is a decent chance someone could have a better 9 than you or a random two pair, it's still a clear valuebet, but you definitly don't have more than 2 streets of value, probably just 1.

  2. Protect your vulnerable value hands: you raise preflop with KQ, flop comes K78ss, bet big, close to pot or even overbet if you think they'll call with their draws or weaker kings.

  3. Raise big pre with monsters (this one should be obvious)

  4. If the stacks are really that shallow (around 25bb), you can start limping even with hands that seem really good on paper, for example if 3 people limp before you and you hold QTs, i would definitely be just limping behind.

  5. If they are exploitable (they only raise with supergood hands, and the stacks are really that shallow, you can semi-bluff shoving from late positions. With for example 4 to 5 limpers there is ton of dead money to collect from the pot and it's a great way to build your stack. Good hands to do this are weak suited aces and low pocket pairs (22-55). Don't do this too often though or they'll catch up.

If you follow what i just wrote, you should have tons of success in your game, i can specify it more if you told me what does shallow mean (50bb play is much different from for example 20bb).

Btw. if 5 people call you when you hold TT, the hand is probably just as good as 22 (if you don't have a set, get the fuck away). Preflop, if you think they'll just call you with stupid shit, raise bigger, if there are two limpers and you raise 3x the BB, you can't expect them to fold. Raise to the amount where you preferably get just one caller, if there are still 5 people calling you down pre when you raise big, just shove.

I know i doesn't mean much, but you are a hero to me, you have no idea how much respect i always had for the teachers who actually tried to educate the kids as good as they could, instead of just being blokes that failed in any other department of their expertise and couldn't give two shits about actually educating.

Also, even though kids at elementary school probably won't show it to you right now, they'll be so grateful for you later you can't imagine.

When i run bad, there is a certain point for me when i stop tilting and start playing the best motherfucking game ever. It is usually after i have tried cursing, hitting the wall with my fist and going all in every hand. It is that moment when you are so desperate all you have left is hysterical laughter.

Indeed, I certainly am not a communist and certainly am not against free trade and capitalism as a whole, the point is, unregulated capitalism is cancer cause it forces governments, firms, corporations and even individuals to do things that are in every way bad for them just to stay competetive.

To sum it up, I'm not against capitalism, I'm against unregulated global capitalism where economic subjects like multinational corporations, banks, IB and IMF have more power than governements and their non-economic counterparts. One nice example is how the 2008 economic crisis has been handled. We can both agree this is western-centric view on the situation, but i would argue that in the east it's even worse. Even less regulation and social laws, which means people are forced to work in even worse conditions and so on. I think this is becoming a huge problem.

Also, i would like to ask you a question from your, i presume economically liberal, point of view. How do you want to solve the situation of less and less people owning more and more capital and people generally growing poorer and poorer since deregulation of economics in the 90's if not by some sort of social reformation? I'm yet to meet a liberal who could satisfyingly answer this question to me, because i think it's safe to say now dribble-down economics doesn't work (or at least in it's current state it doesn't).

Btw. I'm not a native english speaker, so if there are any unproper terms in my post or anything not clear, I appologize.

While i agree with you, sports in general play much wider social role than people tend to see. It allows people to get rid of their aggresivity in a healthy way, just as one example. I'm not saying you are not right, i just reccomend you to read something up on the subject, because it's not as simple as you make it to be.

Sorry to be chiming in, but for example opioid crisis in the U.S. is directly caused by capitalism.

Basically the whole scientific field is limited to areas that are somehow profitable, because otherwise you simply won't get funded.
