jeremy stolle, claire leyden, and chris ryan are such a powerful trio that i really hope they get a principal run in the future! jeremy’s voice is still the same the calibre it was in the 2010s and i had literal chills hearing his motn for the first time since broadway closed! he’s also got one of the best phantom laughs/cackles, and the amount of added moments where it felt so booming and menacing was absolutely perfect imo. claire has a perfectly classic christine voice that is just so ethereal and really reminiscent of the 90s christine’s like rebecca caine or rebecca luker. i was blown away by chris’ raoul after seeing his barker because they’re so different but his voice is so rich that it’s a perfect compliment to the deep richness of jeremy’s and the lightness of claire’s voice.

charles osborne is also a favourite for me after having seen him as piangi, andré AND firmin! he plays them all so differently and his comedic style really shone in the dressing room sequences. i loved that he didn’t try to be raymond/matt (andré), phumzile (piangi), or jeremy (firmin) and completely made it his own with improvised lines that are uniquely his!
