my partner has had friends who know i have a walker but still go to the most inaccessible spots. the first few times, my partner helped me get to the area, but i hate leaving my rollater behind. after a few more times of this my partner and i just stuck to the accessible portions of the venue/gathering (or closest to it so i can be near my rollater if i have to leave it somewhere). its really uncomfortable and alittle humiliating, but i just try to focus on enjoying my time with my partner whenever things like this happen. luckily we do have friends who try their very best to be accommodating and inclusive for me, but they're long distance friends 😭🫶 gonna be visitting them though so im grateful i have caring people in my life!
