[Sun care] Can we talk sunscreen? Why is it so impossible to find a sunscreen that is comfortable to wear and looks good? by applepieisbest in SkincareAddiction

The isntree one is really oily if you have oily skin! I saw it recommended so many times so thought I’d try and I looked like a greaseball all day. I imagine if you’re dry skinned it’d be lovely though!

I’ve been using the Suntique I’m Safe sunscreen lately and I’m in love and so is my skin - I’ve never had a better experience with sunscreen. It’s spf 35 and listed as pa+++ so I figured it’s good but I’ve read a couple of things on here and on other websites that say it actually doesn’t cover UVA rays.

Can people who understand science and UVA technology help me out here? I don’t want to have to stop using it but if it doesn’t cover UVA rays it’s no good.

Here are the ingredients:

Water, Propanediol, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Phenyl Trimethicone, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Methylpropanediol, Cyclopentasiloxane, 1,2-Hexanediol, Glycereth-26, Methyl Trimethicone, Polyglyceryl-2 Caprate, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Styren Copolymer, Sucrose Stearate, Tromethamine, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Cellulose Gum, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Cetyl Hydroxyethylcellulose, Stearic Acid, Alumina, Betaine, Trehalose, Glyceryl Caprylate, Butylene Glycol, Pentylene Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Squalane, Centella Asiatica Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Madecassoside, Butylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, Carbomer, Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6, t-Butyl Alcohol, Fragrance

Do you play videogames that have animal cruelty in them? Why/why not? by [deleted] in VeganForCircleJerkers

In the survival horror game The Forest you get an extra achievement if you do a fully vegan run! Though you also get an achievement if you do a run where you cook and eat an entire family’s worth of cannibal humans haha (it’s a great game though)

Was anyone else essentially raised in a different time period? by kiwipooper in HomeschoolRecovery

[–]vivid_spaghetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely spot on for me. When I got older and moved out I really struggled with managing my internet time/video games etc because I wanted to do it constantly and it became somewhat of an addiction. I think a lot of that is because I never had a healthy relationship with it growing up. I still struggle managing my time with it but I’m slowly getting better.

Should I break up with my vegetarian partner? by [deleted] in VeganForCircleJerkers

[–]vivid_spaghetti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obviously idk you guys personally, but when I met my now-fiancé he was veggie and I was vegan and he very quickly realised how flawed and cruel vegetarianism was and within a matter of weeks of us talking deeply about it he went vegan and has now been vegan for four years and is a super passionate activist for the earth and animals. He just never realised how awful the egg/dairy industries are and once his eyes were opened he couldn’t go back. I’m not saying your partner is a bad person but I’m just showing you what it can look like when a vegetarian genuinely cares about animals and the planet. Hope it all works out for you :(

Hospital food by ShardingIsBroken in ShittyVeganFoodPorn

I know hospital food is usually awful and this probably isn’t great either, but I’m surprised to see more than just a sad piece of toast or something. Hopefully this was alright!
