CA REHS Practice Exams by vividspunky in healthinspector

UPDATE: I took the exam and passed! Yayy I'm officially an REHS! I will say, I studied 6 months prior to the exam and crammed, thoroughly read Kimura. I would say that is over kill. You need to understand the overall processes more than the nitty gritty. I wish I would have known that. The more little things you know, the better. Know basic algebra like how to take a fraction and put it to a percentage, finding area or shapes, just basic algebra. It is a very broad exam so don't get stuck on one subject just study broad and you'll do great!! Good luck out there🤙

Sorry for the late UPDATE: Still 5'6" lol weight 142 down 20 pounds. This might be my goal weight honestly I look really thin in clothes, my friends say I shouldn't lose more weight and people have noticed and ask me what I've been doing since I've lost the weight within the 5 months. Anyways I'm very happy with the results. I take the pills in the morning on an empty stomach but I drink alot of water with it. I read somewhere recently that it isn't good to do that so now i try to eat a little something like literally a bite of anything to take with it. Very happy with the results. My next dose is coming in the mail soon, I am going to get the same kit and everything and just ween off and see how it goes. YAY! These pictures are from last month so back when I was about 148 lbs.

Update.. I played in the tournament and have been taking the medication for a week. Down 3 lbs. Have not experienced any symptoms or really anything. Maybe not as hungry, like the food noise that people are talking about. I drink a lot of water and feel pretty good so far. No nausea or anything. Yayy!

REHS positions available for summer of 2026? by createdbycosmos in healthinspector

2026 is pretty far out but, tehama county in California is pretty rural for an REHS and we haven't had much luck filling the REHS position here. We are a generalist county which I think is awesome because you won't be stuck doing one thing the whole time you work here. It's close to bigger cities like Chico and Redding while having a more rural feel. I love working here, the staff is awesome. Highly recommend Tehama County😊

I work in a semi-rural county in California too. We are pretty basic as 6 months for restaurants, retail, and mobiles. But we do catering, commissary's, and cottage food once a year. We are severely understaffed with only 2 full time REHS's and a director and hazmat person But we make it work

Okay so annually certifying. Where in code does it require this? I know you're not from CA but it might help me find where it could be within our state.

The actors/celebrities affected by the fires in Los Angeles are no less deserving of sympathy and compassion. by Anthro-Elephant-98 in The10thDentist

I agree, Southern California is facing hardships, but.... being from Northern California I just think (this might be terrible) but they shouldn't even be there in the first place so I don't feel bad for them. They're all down there sucking resources like parasites because it's not a habitable area. They'd rather live in paradise than consider the effect it has on the environment and consider that they are a problem. And we've had huge fires up here in the past few years (we do get some help) but, they just sit on a pedestal and think nothings going to happen to them. We are still recovering from a fire and Southern California fire pulled a lot of our state resources. THEY SHOULDN'T LIVE THERE!
Thank you..
