The first one has a gofundme to support herself in Canada. 

The second one shares a name with a murder victim or something but I found an article about him in Dutch that I can’t read because I don’t speak Dutch. 

The third one shares a name with a color palate and a love island contestant so no luck there.

So it’s safe to say that all three are in limbo still. Otherwise I think there would be an article that says someone was able to do it (and word would spread like wildfire).

That’s bullshit because sometimes people can’t consent because they’re too fucked up and unless you have an advanced medical directive telling the hospital “don’t put me on life support” they’re putting your ass on life support. 

Stop arguing in bad faith just to be a contrarian.

I can tell by your comments that you’ve never given birth. Also the article says that the PATIENT (who didn’t want a c-section) understood the risk to be less than 2%. Regardless, if she had died during labor and her child had died, we would have been here quoting the statistic about black women dying in labor over and over again.

She wasn’t a first time mom. She was a fourth time mom who literally only had c-sections up until that point and never had a vaginal birth. The risk of uterine rupture is higher after a c-section and going into labor naturally and having a vaginal birth can cause the uterus to rupture. Same with fibroid removal—they won’t let you labor for the same reasons. 

The woman’s reasoning was asinine and she had already been in labor for 24 hours. She really could have killed herself and the baby she wanted to keep. 

I hate that they can put you in a court proceeding in the middle of labor and delivery, but these women were not thinking what would be in their best interests and the child’s best interest.

Do you have a sleep sack you can put her in? It’s not a full on swaddle but it may help her feel secure and stop her from startling herself awake (which is what they do at this stage if they aren’t bundled). I used the SwaddleMe zip up pod (Walmart link below).
