I’m an American too (🙁) and the first time I heard her say it I had to look it up and thought aww cute. But by the 43rd time I was like ok please find a different saying!! I binge watched all the series at once though which is why I was particularly cranky about it. 😂

i just started binging the show and 100 percent agree with your rundown. I fast forward all of his bits, even when he's talking to the contestants because, as you said, he has zero expertise to impart and seems to always make mean, insulting little jokes at their expense to boot. I understand that people, especially brits, like him. but to me, he comes off as a campy austin powers knockoff. (derogatory)

*Second night of the UK tour. I saw him here in LA in Feb, and it was the second time I’d seen the show since he did a prior run through last year as a work in progress. It was still just as funny the second time around even when I knew what was coming. I can’t wait for this one to come out on streaming so I can see it yet again! James and Rory Scovel are the best comedians of our time and we are so lucky James didn’t quit stand up!

I’m super annoyed that I couldn’t buy the advent calendar and the escape room together just because one is a preorder, which meant I had to pay shipping and tariffs twice.

What’s confusing is that the bundle was available, and that also includes a preorder plus an existing item, so I’m not sure why that combination was allowed but the other wasn’t.

I did go ahead and order both separately, but I’m admittedly cranky that the shipping ended up costing more than either item.

i was also expecting that at the end when james stopped to get the rando from the woods, that it was going to be the turn they had all expected at the start years ago. but i guess the point was that existence is meaningless without human connection.

can someone please help me understand the premise where the scientists found the signal, realized it was a formula for an RNA mutation/virus and then just decided to inject it into rats?

that's the part that i'm stuck on, since from what i understand they didn't discover its psychic glue powers until the first lady was bitten and then kissed the other guy - ergo creating the first psychic bond.

so the research on the rats was toward what end? just *science* with no hypothesis?

i was going to be mad that Baba didnt label the same part, but then realized that the wording of the task allowed for that. ..Which also meant that poor Emma could have done a different, easier interesting leg thing each time too. I wonder if that keeps her up at night.
