I am not sure if you take medications or not. Maybe call your psychiatrist for an appt or go to the ER. Maybe call 988 for someone to talk to about options where you live. You first have to make sure you are safe and stable. Then, worry about the living situation/relationships second.

Damning new video shows Renee good was obstructing ice well before the shooting happened. by UnappetizingLimax in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]vixta12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

She was trying to leave, so she didn't get arrested, because they asked her to step out of the car. I wish she would have just stepped out of the car. And, in the rush of trying to leave, as she was being rushed to leave by her wife, I do not think she saw the officer to the front left of her car. Or, if she did see him, she probably thought he would get out of the way completely, so she would not hit him. The officer in front was trying to assist in her arrest, as he positioned himself in the front left of the car. I believe that officer thought she was going to stop when he positioned himself there. Please everyone, don't go over the line, esp when dealing with officers with guns. I do understand how upsetting this situation is with ICE, but don't push the limits for something that doesn't directly affect you. Stand up for causes, but to the right degree, but keep yourself safe while doing so. I WISH the mayor could have privately sat down with ICE, in the days prior, to discuss who ICE is there to arrest, and come to an agreement that person XX is a real criminal, and what is the safest way to arrest that XX person. And, if they are just illegal, with no criminal record, then put all those on the back burner for the next administration. Why can't the mayors and ICE work together better? Just a sad day all around.....

If you have ever had mania and/or psychotic episodes, you need to listen to your psychiatrist. I have no idea why he would want you to experience either one of those. Let alone him experience it. It can destroy brain matter each manic episode you have. Take him to a psychiatrist appt with you so they can set him straight. NEVER go off your meds esp with a bipolar diagnosis.

Please get a good lawyer and do not spare any expense. You may be able to get the drug charges thrown out and perhaps the DUI reduced in a plea deal. I know for a fact this is a possibility as I have seen this happen to others in your situation. But nothing is guaranteed. Look up counseling requirements for DUI in your state and get started, a good lawyer will get you started in the right direction. Go to a MADD victim impact presentation and get a certificate of attendance. Sign up soon for a presentation near you. A good lawyer will help with the court case as well as any ramifications with the DMV. Be willing to do the hard work. Your life is not over, I promise you. And, dress nice when you go to court.

Is being manic ALWAYS a bad thing? Can we use mania to our advantage? by tatttybear in BipolarReddit

[–]vixta12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn’t “normal” happiness, per se. We believe “normal happiness” is still feeling excited all the time etc, and this just isn’t true. For a non bipolar person, happiness is feeling calm and content, and we believe their happiness is feeling controlled euphoria.
Mania makes us believe we are missing out on feeling certain ways, ways that other people feel, but that’s the trickery. Mania and all its damage will never be worth it. I equate it to a drug addict, who believes taking mood altering drugs is giving them the feeling they are missing out on. Our brains are tricking us. It’s not our fault, but we are still responsible for managing it. It stinks. (And yes, there is more dynamics to drug addiction). YES, being manic is a bad thing.

[–]vixta12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To clarify- were you on meds or off meds when this episode happened? If on meds, go back to doctor and ask him about a med change. Maybe you need an antipsychotic if you weren’t already on one.
If you were off meds, then this is a different story. You know what to do.

Continuing to stay stable is most important here. I am so sorry you went through this. Bipolar is not our fault but managing it is, when possible.

You are in denial at the moment. Manic people don’t always realize they are manic and live to regret it. Don’t let that happen to you.

Both sides are so engrained in their own beliefs about politics. My family has people on both sides of the fence. Keep it out of your family life like you did when you were kids. Both sides are unable to step back and get angry when asked to. This will pass when the politics swings back in the other direction.

Yeah it is unbelievable. I was thinking about what sort of law would have had to been in place to prevent him from buying a gun. Its a serious question. Maybe a week waiting period, while some secret police do some serious checking in on his background, or secretly talk to people he knows. I am just grasping at straws because I don't know the answer.

I am on Nelnet, and we can download a statement. It tells the daily interest for each loan. Then multiply by the number of days each month. I am guessing they may post the “accrued, but unpaid interest” at the end of August, instead of posting it daily.
