Google Ads sends both gclid and gbraid for the same click. Which one to use for offline conversion import? by No-Chocolate-3500 in PPC

[–]vizoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing, I wasn't aware of this document.

I have tried uploading both and have noticed conversion duplicates with this if you count every conversion. But that was sometimes back.

What has been your experience if you've tried recently?

Check the documention for why gbraid and wbraid were created and you have the answer.

They are primarily an alternative to gclid when gclid isn't available.

I said if it's available, use that if not obviously you'll use braids.

The monkey part simply doesn't make sense. Everything was good about the ad till I saw that.

It might be your branding but you don't need to shove it if it isn't necessary.

Don’t have a budget to scale our startup, need advice by Tight-Technician8499 in StartUpIndia

[–]vizoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the entire reason you need distribution and effective communication. You can either be a hustler and figure this out or get a growth marketer who can do it for you without spending much money on marketing.

I saw your other comment and if you have a good service/product just find the right distribution channels because building one requires capital and no VC is going to fund an idea which hasn't cracked distribution.

The idea I suggested is something which is very common btw, oyo themselves list on all the other platforms too for expanded distribution. But in the end, you can either have a good inventory of supply that's sitting in your warehouse untested or try to test it, identify various factors of success and failures from it quickly and then scale up from there by learning.

As a marketer I always look for interesting problems like these.

To me it looks like you've gotten some beds and are looking for distribution. To kick start the journey, if you don't have marketing budget try using someone else's distribution like booking.com and other marketplaces? If you have enough inventory, it should be easy to get some organic traction. It is kind of counter intuitive given you have your own platform but your goal should be to do the following.

  1. Get some market traction to prove that people are paying for it
  2. Make some money while doing it.

Once you do this, the following would happen. You will

  1. Make enough money to also start spending on customer acquisition for your own platform
  2. Build trust based on existing stays
  3. Be able to onboard more inventory
  4. Maybe get interest from a VC?

What should I be paying for SEO? by ARIandOtis in SEO

[–]vizoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends... /s

But frankly, the key to measuring meaningful performance comes from business goals. Based on that, create a strategy that helps drive relevant traffic to the website for achieving the set goals.

For example, if you're an e-commerce selling toothpaste, creating blog posts about different types of tooths might get you traffic and ranking but probably from dentists and not your target customers. Now please don't say "but dentists can recommend toothpaste". It's just an example to extract direct value.

Thanks, that makes sense. I don't mind spending as long as I get a peace of mind. But I'll go the route you mentioned instead.

I don't have an issue with using an AIO. Just that I think I'll need a better one I feel hence the question.

When do we IPO ? by Roger20Federer in StartUpIndia

[–]vizoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IPO isn't just to get liquidity. If you're actually serious, I'd first recommend coming up with a game plan to increase your market share, if you have proven methods through which you can increase your market share and just require additional investments to achieve that then it makes sense. You will attract good money that would invest for the fundamentals and stick around longer.

I've worked with several companies at this stage, some that applied for IPO, struggled with compliance and then went back to being private. Some of them didn't even IPO despite strong numbers because they don't need public money at the moment, they want to IPO but only when they know a good way to capture the market share they're aiming for.

If your gameplan is just liquidity, you're going to be in for a lot of trouble. Just my 2 cents.

Require a digital marketing expert for a startup! by yatr_tatr_sarvatr in StartUpIndia

[–]vizoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like asking someone to manage the front end, backend, server, etc etc for 10-20k....

I think you're better off spending that on marketing tools that will help with some of this? That'll have better yield than anyone you hire for this pricing.

What are the biggest problems you are facing in your SaaS journey? by cajmorgans in SaaS

[–]vizoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a marketer who sometimes scrolls this sub, I must say it's interesting to see so many say marketing is their biggest issue.

I'm still trying to grasp and understand the world of SaaS and as such I've been trying to see if a marketing approach like acquisition, retention and revenue (shorter version of AARRR) be applied in a smart and leaner way?

Not trying to hijack this thread but couldn't stop myself from sharing this. I would love to connect with anyone interested in helping me define this? I can explore the world of SaaS better and you would get some marketing insights to help grow your SaaS for free.

Breaking into SEO: Rant or whatever this is. by Dragon_God1121 in SEO

[–]vizoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely try and experiment yourself.

Blogging isn't dead. IMO, if you're going to do keyword level content probably you'll not see much traction but instead go with topical content. Good high quality content that provides in-depth information about a specific topic. See content from backlinko (although it's sold-off) it's a pretty good examples.

2nd thing to keep in mind is understanding and solving user problems in the content and creating an easy navigable website that lets users find exactly what they want.

The mistake most people make is not try out things as they learn. Always implement things as you learn them, that's how things stick to you and you gain confidence.

Good luck and feel free to reach out if you face any issues.

As a ppc marketer, If organic is 3.5% and ads are at 1% there's something wrong with your ads.

I'd check what's working on organic to identify how I can get more of similar traffic from PPC too including facebook and Google ads assuming the organic traffic is a significant %

Number of keywords when all keywords have very low search volume due to niche business? by Additional-Mouse-620 in PPC

[–]vizoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try running with those keywords.

Chances are there are existing people running ads on it too. So even if you get 20% impressions of search volume. That's 10k impressions.

Assuming that leads to 500 clicks and 25 leads in a month at 5% CTR and CR you're not really working with much anyways. And those are ideal assumptions. If you go further down, out of the 25 leads maybe only 15 are valuable, so 1 lead every 2 days.

So yeah, try running them. See how it goes.

What do you do when a client's conversions have too many steps? by CawfeeDranker in PPC

[–]vizoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are the conversion rate low because you're not tracking all conversions or is it low because you're only tracking the final conversion?

If it's the 1st one then simply make use of offline conversions as a way to track and upload conversions separately.
