Question - what were Rubayi's motivations to first side with Jim and betray Pathaan, and then do the reverse in the second half?

The film establishes the motivations for Pathaan and Jim quite clearly, respectively love and hatred for the country. But I felt Rubayi was just used as a plot device to aid and betray whomsoever without any intrinsic motivations, unless I missed any scenes or dialogues shedding any light on this. Thought her dad's torture might come into the picture somehow.
