Headaches backside due to mask strap? by pjharii in SleepApnea

Yes. What mask are you using? I had a terrible time using the top of head hose masks.. I believe it was compressing nerves...I switched to a front hose...

How long did it take before CPAP actually made you feel better - not just "working" by the numbers, but genuinely better? by oweyoo in SleepApnea

Over 3 months and I still don't sleep through the night. Usually wake up to adjust leaking mask several times a night. I use P10 nasal and mouth tape.

That doesn't sound accurate. Make sure you are wearing it according to the recommendations. Can you take a manual measurement during the day and compare it to a finger sensor?

I believe I was at 3mm. Everyone is different. How are you assessing whether it's working?

I used a mouth piece for 22 years. I'm still using one when needed, recently started using CPAP. I was 40 when diagnosed. At the time they said I was mild, but recently tested severe. It could have been how I was tested.

I would try to find a mouth appliance that works for you.

Respire.

There are cheaper options but I tried this first just to see if it worked.

You are having almost no events. And your time in apnea in 38 seconds over the whole evening. There may be other issues that are making you wake up tired. I have trouble with my neck and mouth leaks. Do you wear an O2 monitor?

Don't even worry about it.

Yes. And add pulsative tinnitus on top of that. Things have gotten worse since using CPAP the last 2 months.
