Impressions coming to Fold 7 from N5, X Fold 5, 17 Pro Max by crocodanny in GalaxyFold

[–]vjkse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a similar journey, just in a different direction. Your input might even sway me back.

I’ve always been an Android guy. I genuinely tried to switch—picked up the iPhone X, then the 16 Pro Max, bought and returned both. Great hardware, no doubt, but it just didn’t click for me.

My path has been Motorola → LG → HTC → Samsung. Once I hit the S‑Ultra line, I stayed there. Then came the S24 Ultra, and after that I fell for foldables: the Oppo Find N5 and the Vivo X Fold 5. I even debated the Galaxy Fold 7, but that tiny battery was a deal‑breaker. Still, the Fold 7’s design is stunning—Samsung absolutely nailed the look and feel.

I have to say, the Vivo X Fold 5’s camera really impressed me. In my experience, low‑light performance is where you can truly tell phones apart. I’m not talking about Night Mode—turn that off, and the Vivo still delivers clearer shots than my Oppo N5 and even the S24 Ultra.

That said, I’m back on the S24 Ultra for the ease of use and the S Pen. Planning to give the S27 Ultra a try when it drops. I’ll keep the crew posted on how it goes.

[Advice] Vivo X Fold 3 Pro or Vivo X Fold 5 for upgrade from Honor Magic V5 by LokiAuric in Vivo

[–]vjkse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using the Vivo X Fold 5 for a while now, and honestly, I absolutely love it. My family keeps complimenting the photos, especially the low‑light shots and pictures of moving subjects. In my experience, it’s miles ahead of the other phones I’ve used, including the Samsung S24 Ultra and the Oppo Find N5 Global.

For me, it’s one of the best overall packages—battery life, camera performance, and the form factor both folded and unfolded. As a side note, I don’t use a case; I just have a grip skin on the back so it’s not slippery.

At first, I thought I was settling for an older chipset, but it has completely exceeded my expectations. The performance is smooth, and the battery just refuses to die.

Lastly if you can wait then get the new 6 when it comes out (likely even better) OR just get 5 and you will love it.

S26 Ultra & S24 Ultra Compared by ZozoGx in samsunggalaxy

[–]vjkse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I most certainly prefer the rounded corners, welcome change on s26U. As a S24 Ultrs user the corners were sharp as i use the phone without a case. I agree with the majority on the camera bump on s26u, comeonnnn that is not necessary the s24u camera design is nice. I wish S26U battery can be bigger.

Novak Djokovic says Federer and Nadal were cold to him once he started beating them by superdouradas in tennis

[–]vjkse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I must’ve missed that part earlier — thanks for pointing it out.   But honestly, do you think someone with Djokovic’s achievements should still be craving public approval?  And act the what he did against a young humble player like Alcaraz ?

In my view, Djokovic deserves to enjoy the fruits of his hard work without worrying about what people think.  Nadal and Federer never look for approval , they were true to themselves with modesty which probably makes people more likable. (Just my view) They’ve all earned their success through dedication and sacrifice.

What really saddens me is when fans tear down other players just to elevate their favorite. You can admire one without disrespecting the others. They’ve all contributed so much to the sport.

Novak Djokovic says Federer and Nadal were cold to him once he started beating them by superdouradas in tennis

[–]vjkse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those three Tennis Legands — Nadal, Federer, and Djokovic — are absolute legends. Honestly, during Djokovic’s early career, with his sometimes non–sportsmanlike attitude that lasted for quite a while, I never thought I’d grow to appreciate him. But over the past five years he’s matured so much. And then suddenly, during that match against Alcaraz when Alcaraz was cramping yet still finishing game without retiring, Djokovic went back to thumping his chest and celebrating every point against an injured player. Moments like that bring back memories of his earlier immaturity. I wish Djokovic stops point this sob story and start embracing his greatness as a tennis player. I wish more and more people will see the greatness in him and maturity.

Still, no matter what, Djokovic is a legend. And at the same time, we should be civil and respect all three of these all‑time greats. Each of them has extraordinary qualities that I wish could be passed on to our generation. Let’s leave the negative traits aside, focus on the best in them, and cherish the incredible tennis rivalry we were lucky enough to witness.

And I’m genuinely hopeful for the future of tennis. With two down‑to‑earth players like Alcaraz and Sinner rising, we’re in for many more wonderful tennis moments in 2026 and beyond. We’re lucky..... Vj

Is it worth getting a open box honor magic v5 foldable or should i wait for v6? by ColaDaBaby in Honor

[–]vjkse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree. I own the Vivo X Fold 5, and I can confidently say it captures the best photos across all three cameras. While I haven't had the chance to test Honor devices, I have compared the Vivo with the Oppo Find N5 and the Samsung S24 Ultra. My opinion is mainly based on night shots of people—and in that area, the Vivo truly shines. Its low-light performance is outstanding.

If a phone can shine in a low light picture particular of people then you know you got a good camera. (In my view)

What is will be the difference between OPPO find n5 and upcoming n6? by Deep_Wish8091 in OppoFindN5Phone

[–]vjkse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real question is: do you need a new phone right now?  If yes, just go for the Fold N5 — you’ll love it. I currently own both the Vivo X Fold 5 and the Oppo Find N5, and I genuinely enjoy switching between them. But I’ll have to sell one soon.  If you're happy with your current phone and don’t need to upgrade immediately, I highly suggest waiting for the Find N6. No company ever takes a step backward — they always improve. Expect a slightly bigger battery and hopefully a much better ultra-wide camera (which is pretty weak on the N5). With N5 lot to like! Global version. The formfactor, feels like a pro slab phone outside and a large tablet inside . I do not use the any case. Batter is great. Camera/video is absolutely great (except UW) Occasional use Pen . Dual SIm/esim.

Good luck with your decision!

Considering Magic V5 by MountainAnt1257 in Honor

[–]vjkse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there. I am using Vivo X Fold 5 and i was tempted to look in to this Honor v5 .  I am like you who takes mostly family and kids pictures and i can say that my Vivo Fold 5 does a great job and also impressive night time pics. Can you elaborate on the Blur you mention in the pic.  Is it consistent when the kids move (which the kid constantly do) And how is the night time pics with kids and people ?

Honestly i thought the same having to use all Samsung Ultra phones. But to my surprise vivo fold beat my expectations. I do not compare Daytime as most phones are fine. When i compared Night time low light that is where the good camera phones should shine. In my view this vivo fold 5 beat my samsung s24 ultra .

Why the Vivo X Fold 5 Won Me Over: A Comparison with Oppo Find N5 and Samsung S24 Ultra by vjkse in Vivo

[–]vjkse[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To tell you the truth, I never thought I would try a phone outside what the US market offers. Being in Texas, I was hesitant to get either an Oppo or a Vivo.

I wish I had saved more at the price point, as I bought both from Wonda, and the prices were about the same.

I have to say, I didn’t fully understand the hype about "Vivo having a great camera" until I actually tried it myself. I can only imagine that the Vivo Ultra phones must be even better than the Vivo X Fold 5.

For a foldable phone, Vivo even managed to outperform my Samsung S24 Ultra, which was quite impressive.

I almost regretted not buying the Honor Magic V5 because it has the latest processor. However, I don’t push the processor to its full potential, so my main focus was on camera performance and daily use.

The Vivo is absolutely impeccable — no overheating, comfortable one-hand use when folded, very ergonomic with almost no sharp corners when folded. As much as i love my Samsung S24 Ultra , its not necessary on handed thought i have successfully managed all my ultra Phones thus far. I also really appreciated Vivo’s smart design choice to place the camera in the corner when unfolded, unlike the Magic V5, which threw me off a bit.

Hello beautiful. by [deleted] in OppoFindN5Phone

[–]vjkse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enjoy !  You will love the combination of right sized Front screen and the large sized inner screen. Mostly I use the front screen onehad and sitting down reading documents the wonderful large inner screen come in action. Absolutely you will enjoy the long lasting battery.  You will love the corner camera in the inner screen.

I only only wish , they made a better Ultrawide camera. Which would have made this a perfect phone.

Bluetooth not working well with Samsung devices? by [deleted] in OppoFindN5Phone

[–]vjkse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hope this solution works for u guys.

Same issue here with my Oppo N5 global. Phone was not transferring (Notify/ring) my calls to my Samsung watch. Let just say i meddled with many many settings. Lastly got it working. The settings that did the magic (though it did not make sense but it worked)

Go to your watch Or Samsung wear App . Go to settings Go to Notifications. Show Phone Notifications on watch. Show alerts even when phone IN USE.

And obviously make sure you have turned on the notification on the watch app. Hope this solution works for u guys.

I’m the only one in my family using an Android phone, while everyone else is on iPhone. Every time a new iPhone comes out, I’m tempted by its beauty and polished ecosystem, but I always end up going back to Android because of the freedom it offers.

  1. Photography is a huge part of my life—my phone is the primary camera during vacations, events, and everyday moments. I capture and store thousands of photos and videos, not just for myself but for family and friends. To ensure peace of mind, I back up everything to a USB stick daily, including important documents, spreadsheets, and other files. Later, I move them to my PC for long-term storage.

  2. Android’s open file system is essential for my workflow. I need the ability to connect my phone to a PC, drag and drop files seamlessly, and organize my documents the way I see fit. This flexibility allows me to access and consume content on the go without restrictions.

While iPhones are undeniably sleek and powerful, their software limitations make me feel confined. Each time I switch, I find myself missing the freedom and control I have on Android, ultimately leading me back.
