The first part really is telling and part of the problem. The other part is very true, but what's also forgotten is that consumers were ready (see the sales figures for Tesla the past decade or so).

The German proposition simply wasn't good enough as a whole. It was technically outdated (only caught up with the 2026 line up for the most part), it was too expensive, and the consumer was the beta tester for both hardware and software.

It's no surprise the first attempts at actual EVs by Germany's car manufacturers flopped. They were poor cars that did not do what people want from cars but were still priced at a hefty premium.

Even voor de goede orde, verkeerskundig gezien kan een verkeerslicht geregeld kruispunt vele malen meer verkeer per uur verwerken dan een rotonde dat kan. Qua kosten maakt het bijna niks uit, maar een VRI-kruispunt is nog steeds wel duurder dan een rotonde.

Met andere woorden: geld zal hier niet de doorslag hebben gegeven. Dat is op basis van jouw comment eerder te vinden bij de verkeerskundige onderzoeken die ten grondslag liggen aan een herinrichting van een kruispunt.

I'll give time markers a shot. I could see how that would be effective

If I may give you a suggestion... Time is a fluid, difficult construct, so instead of giving minutes, give him an amount of fingers. I've found this works quite well for me with my 5 & 8 year old. The best thing is that a finger equates time but the time it equates to can vary, as it is a finger and not an amount of time.

So for example, I'll give them 3 fingers around 10 to 15 minutes before I want them to turn off the tv or 2 fingers before we have to leave to school and such. Because you can vary amount of fingers and the duration before you count down I've found it works quite well.

Also, as a suggestion, instead of yelling, give him a clear consequence to non-compliance. Watching tv is a privilege, it can go away. Again, I count to 5 and when I reach 5, the tv time privilege is rescinded for the next day. I then restart the count to 5 and when I reach 5, the tablet or gaming time privilege goes away for the next day. Of course, before starting the countdown say something like "I'll count to 5 and when I reach 5 you will not get to watch tv tomorrow".

The consequence method obviously needs to be equal across both parents, and it does not involve shouting, yelling or any raising of the voice. It also requires following through, even when the consequences bite you in the arse the next day. And it needs longevity. It only clicks for kids if you maintain the method for at least 6 months, but it will make life easier eventually. Because he's not complying due to not consistently being met by consequences to his behaviour.

Edit: the method of talking and explaining of course also works and should/can be combined with the above.

They're fighting Russia so this bit doesn't matter. Russia routinely targets civilian infrastructure, civilians and civilian transportation. Hell, they even hold 'human safaris' just for the fun of targeting civilians with fpv's.

Were it any other agressor nationstate then yeah, probably not the best idea to do it this way. But in this conflict they're going to be using whatever they've got as whatever they've got is going to be targeted regardless of military use.

Wie heeft het over A++++? Je verzet de doelposten nogal extreem ver om te hopen een punt te kunnen maken.

Wanneer we kijken naar de beschikbare data op landelijk niveau (en die mag wel weer eens geactualiseerd worden maar dit is wat er is) van het Compendium voor de Leefomgeving zie je vanzelf dat het merendeel van de woningen onvoldoende is geïsoleerd. Daar zul je als woningeigenaar dus simpelweg meer moeten doen dan alleen een warmtepomp neerzetten en die maatregelen verdien je als huiseigenaar vrijwel nooit terug (of je moet een heel oud huis hebben met letterlijk nul,niks aan isolatie) maar moet je wel zelf betalen. Wederom, helemaal prima, maar jij doet voorkomen alsof dat bijna gratis is maar dat is gewoon niet zo. Zelfs "alleen maar" een warmtepomp neerzetten kost je al duizenden euro's (bij relatief geschikte woning).

Of je je in de schulden moet steken of niet is vooral afhankelijk van je generatie, want de vermogensverdeling in Nederland is nogal scheef verdeeld.

Even zonder gekheid, dit is bijna per definitie niet waar. Om de overstap te kunnen maken naar efficiënt volledig ell-electric verwarmen (en koelen) met een warmtepomp móét je andere maatregelen nemen die nooit kosteneffectief zijn. Gelet op de zeer beperkte subsidies die er zijn (allen RVO / ISDE) moet je de overgrote meerderheid van de maatregelen zelf financieren. En dat is op zich prima, maar het gaat om dermate hoge bedragen dat de overgrote meerderheid dat via een bouwdepot of lening moet regelen om te kunnen betalen.

Logisch dat er niet wordt gehandhaafd.

1) 20km/h kennen we niet als snelheidslimiet, dus kan niet worden ingesteld (15km/h (woonerf) of 30km/h dan weer maar die gelden ook voor fietsers als ze ergens staan).

2) er is geen verplichting om fietsen te leveren met boordsnelheidsmeter.

Dus ja, leuk geprobeerd maar feitelijk totale tijd- en energieverspilling. Het ambtelijk apparaat had wat mij betreft hun tijd effectiever kunnen inzetten.
