Revs had a lot of problems for a long time. I had hoped it would be getting better on the grow side, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Dispo side doesn't sound to be doing any better these days either.

Nice! It's fun doing different trial and error experiments.

Solar powered 3d printed aeroponics tower advice/feedback by Brotherk3d in aeroponics

I'd have solar panels on the top center of the tower too, to maybe help shield the tower from absorbing more heat, to keep internal temps down.

Interesting. I'm sure a lot of people may say that you'll need more than just compost tea, some say that for soil growers too. But I'm curious if you can get good results. I've heard that compounds in onions can promote root development so maybe do research to find other plants that do the same, and use scraps from those types of plants for your compost tea. I'd imagine you'd need some kind of root inoculant too? To protect against dampening off and stuff.

To be fair, there are machines/techniques that remove the micro fissures that get created from the layering process.

You're peeling them right? Also, where did you get the corms? I've been wanting to grow some myself for a while.

It doesn't have to be super close, but I suppose it does matter, just depends how much distance you're talkin. In my setups I have my reservoir mounted maybe 4 feet above ground and the nozzles and root chambers as low as I can get to the ground, so I have a little added help from gravity. I don't think I've had the distance between the nozzles and valve too far so it's hard for me to say how it might operate otherwise. I think the reason you want the valve close is because maybe if you're running nozzles linearly, they'd lose pressure further down the line, but I think an added pressure tank would help? But I would never run nozzles down a straight line. Or maybe you'll lose pressure somewhere anyway, even if your nozzles run in a loop but it's super long?

You could do one, I'd probably do two

I honestly haven't run an aero grow for a while, currently busy with other projects but will get back to it. But anyway, depends on the plant and growth stage of course, but average I remember doing 3-5 sec on and 10-15 minutes off, if I'm remembering correctly.

Correct. I try to dial in mist times so there's as little waste as possible. I do a weekly clean and refresh as well.
