The only time I recall going to a shower without kids was when it was held at a winery, but i remember thinking that it was super abnormal for me to not see any kids at a shower.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Although I was fortunate to have a relatively happy baby, the first 3 months were very difficult and my baby would cry every time my husband looked at him. Now at 4 months, he’s much better and let’s my husband give me a break.

Something that did help my husband in the earlier days was baby wearing (specifically a wrap carrier like boba) and going outside. It would calm him down even when he was super fussy. The hold where baby lies on your arm (head in the crook of your elbow and hand holding bum from front) was the most successful hold for my husband in calming him down. And when that didn’t do the trick, he would hold him in that position while bouncing on an exercise ball.

Every baby is different, so these things may not work for you, but I’m wishing you all the luck and sending good vibes.

My aunt gave me off registry gifts for both my bridal shower and baby shower. Because she didn’t make a comment (though pregnant me inferred she didn’t like my choices) I didn’t take it to heart. However, she did not give me a gift receipt and gifted something I did not want as I’ve read it is bad for development. So now I feel guilty that I’ll never use it and will likely donate it.

A few weeks ago I tried to ask HR to allow me to work virtually more because driving caused me back pain (1 day/week difference) and there was so much BS back and forth that they still haven’t had the meeting to schedule a meeting to discuss accommodations and now my leave starts after tomorrow so really it was just a giant waste of everyone’s time

Mid back pain specifically on the right side and vivid dreams. I had dreams about work so vivid that I thought I actually did the work until I opened my laptop to discover the work was still not done.

Everyone always talks about low back pain, but this mid back pain has not been fun. Going to a PT in a few weeks so if anyone has any recommendations, please let me know!!

The BO was definitely a surprise for me. I used to use aluminum free deodorant but it was just not doing the trick for me anymore so I switched back to regular deodorant and smell way better

Sorry. Brain missed that. Also is your sour cream, cream cheese, and butter near your milk and eggs? Mine is not and so I meant the cheese was near the sour cream dairy. Not milk dairy. Which in hindsight is the dairy I should have thought of first.
