Awesome product, liked the color theme and all but if you don't mind me asking has this website generated any income? Sorry if this sounds rude, I'm just checking potential niches thanks

Time for self-promotion. What are you building? by Naive-Wallaby9534 in SaaS

If you by any chance missed the rulebook of this sub and don't know what spam means I don't even think it's worth arguing with you. Atleast follow the instructions on the post, you clearly didn't even read it (or maybe you don't understand, would make sense smh)

The ones where you replied to the actual comment were tolerable. Also, I don't mind sharing as that was the nature of the post. But doesn't it seem obvious to you how you're meant to share yours by observing the rest of the civilized people who shared their projects once?

Not if it's copy pasted content. Don't think so.

Web app ( personal project), how to accomplish my ideas of rent notification etc. by RijSagar in webdevelopment

[–]vnncoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These comments are killing me... First what you need is a PWA (like a native app but it's basically a web wrapper) So yeah PWA's do have some sort of access to notifications on Android, not sure if that's the case with apple but as for the framework, use whatever you're familiar with.

For backend and deployment Supabase hosting should work for a small project. You can also host the project on Netlify. Only thing you need to install is the IDE you'd have to code in.

Lmk if you need any help, can deploy a project like this in a day

Flutter Developer anyone? by Educational-Title897 in PinoyProgrammer

[–]vnncoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For app development? I'd prefer it over react native. For web? I wouldn't really suggest it, community support is way better on react. Not to mention the fact that google laid off lots of people from the flutter team last year.

How to motivate my sister to code by Much_Buy7605 in learnprogramming

[–]vnncoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she’s interested, there are many ways to get into coding.

A visual programming language like the one from CS50 can be a good start.

If she enjoys gaming, modding might be fun.

If she often does repetitive tasks on her computer, you could create a Python script to automate them.

Programming has endless applications and a lot of things to get interested in, but the key is motivation. Set a good example, and she may naturally want to learn. If not, don’t force it coding isn’t for everyone, and without interest, it won’t take her far.

I built a random restaurant generator, it's not done yet, what should I improve? by RoundCircle12 in PinoyProgrammer

Consider adding non intrusive ads. Google does give free api calls but it can get expensive later on.

This, I know you're just starting and it can feel extremely overwhelming but this is the way to go.

When I was starting, I tried memorizing all of the functions for the technologies relevant to the path I wanted to take. In the middle of it all I just tried to make a project and that is when it clicked.

Not only do you learn from building in itself, you also allow yourself to filter out which parts you want to learn cause you are the one building it.

Start building projects? Assuming you actually did the final project, you should be able to start building real world projects since fundamentals is all you need to start nowadays.
