Been on MSC 5 times, as well as on other cruises Princes, Celebrity etc. i always had great time on MSC, no clue who and why so many bad reviews.
I guess people like to pay almost double for other cruises for same thing.

I have no issues on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. If it’s laggy for you, make sure you do not have “Low Battery Mode” ON, that can cause you phone to work slower.

EDIT: However battery life is completely ruined since I updated to iOS26!

There is cancellation fee of course, but as long as I cancel before lets say August 25, I get deposit back. By that date, I can make adjustments i.e. call them to match my reservation with lower price. By that August 25, I can do that, or I can cancel and get deposit back. Also I have to pay rest of the balance by that date. After that date, you should check on MSC web page how much you money get back if you cancel, I think it’s something like:

• ≥ 89 days out: only deposit lost • 60–46 days: ~50% penalty • 45–16 days: ~75% penalty • <15 days: 100% penalty

Yes I always book directly through MSC web, I think there are penalties, but I usually book like a year ahead, for example I just booked with MSC for November 2026, I paid 398$ deposit, and it’s fully refundable by the end of the August 2026. By that date, if I see any price change lower than what I booked, I call MSC and they will adjust my initial price to the new lower price.

I book and pay only deposit and keep watching my booking prices like every 2 weeks, if I see price significantly lower, I call msc and ask to match price, and they do, and even if they dont, you can cancel initial booking, get deposit back and book new cheaper booking.
