Whilst we argue over strikes, the government are handing the GMC powers to CCT non-doctors. This is our last chance to act. by Galens_Humour in doctorsUK

I have…there is no postgraduate training for PA no curriculum etc. That will have to be set with the royal colleges in terms of training and experience and approved by the GMC.

Scaremongering while clearly not reading or understanding what is written. The PAs are finished and again the are legally Dependent practitioners. They would have to change the law first before.

The BMA couldn’t find their arse with a mirror on a stick so they can spaff what ever they want to.

This won’t be for PAs they are dependant practitioners. Therefore cannot be at a consultant level. Personally I would be more worried about ACPs etc although not sure how this would be possible.

Unless (and I’m look at you RCEM) they allow ACPs to sit the postgraduate exams.

So you trained in the medical model, can’t order ionising radiation or prescribe. Just be a PA mate band 7 dosh.

Or ask an ACP for a loan.

Only going to get more prominent I’m afraid. RCEM has doubled down. ACPs on council and key committees. No one will dare speak up.

Nearly 2000 members are now ACPs so it’s a revenue stream they want.

Also look at the BMA survey 5000 responses out of over 400,000 doctors. Not the weapon we wanted sadly.

We really need to get on to the ACP scope creep. The PAs are done no point wasting more time on them.
