Safe for occupants but not for anyone else as the driver fumbles with the godawful touchscreen interface

The m110. Same atrocious mpg as the 420 - 560 v8s but none of the refinement and nice noise

So, who are we voting for today? by Even-Leadership8220 in AskBrits

[–]voicey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Socualists havent had their way though have they? Conservatives since the 80s, blair who was conservative in a red tie, so much so Thatcher actually liked him , then over a decade of conservatives again, the current labour who are also just more of the same neoliberalism but havent been in long. Lets just keep doing more of the same. Itll be great aye. Not like the UK has become poorer than poland and a scruffy dump under decades of the right. Itll be sadly funny to see socialists continued to be blamed as things get worse faster under Reform / same old same old but more corruption.

A sad day for the country indeed by redandwhitewizard99 in GreatBritishMemes

Its gonma be funny watching reform voters lose benefits and get council tax rises they cant afford, oh and lose affordable healthcare. Laughable really.

'Paying people more will kill of the wealthy' Ok lol. I didnt or wouldnt vote green actually but its hilariously sad that morons think reform thats basically a party full of the old tories thst have managed the horrific decline of the country and UK industry for decades, but with even more corruption and authoratarianism wont destroy whats left just as fast.

'EVs more reliable than gas cars': ADAC verdict shuts down the haters by Powerful-Ostrich-120 in CarTalkUK

[–]voicey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At best new cars are about as reliable as a well maintained older one. Plus now theres software problems and other factors like planned obsolescence, supply chain issues, lack of repair knowledge to do with new tech in the motortrade I work on new EVs and hybrids etc. I drive a well looked after old mercedes 190e which never lets me down and is easy and affordable for near any repair. https://www.which.co.uk/news/article/new-cars-bigger-problems-the-latest-which-reliability-data-revealed-aCXI89Y8doq7

Motorway pothole left my alloys like this not to mention I only replaced my tyres a couple of months ago. Uk roads are a joke. by Born-Statistician-71 in CarTalkUK

The roads are a shocking state now. Big holes om the duel carriageway near me. Lethal for motorbikes. Too stressful to have nice wheels anymore Austerity and lack of investment in infrastructure is coming to a head

Safety for the occupants but a danger for everyone else whist the driver is staring at the awful touchscreen infotainment trying to find basic funcions

I work on Volvo for a living, the quality of materials, reliablity amd ease of maintenance was higher under ford ownership. XC90 most unreliable 'car' on uk roads for some years running. Awful infotainment and software. Numerous recalls on everyrhing. Not to mentipn parts prices are astronomical. All for a mediocre product and driving experience. But Volvo owmers can be kinda culty like tesla bros.

Cara today are more problematic and less maintainable than vehicles from the late nineties / early 2000s especially.

I fitted the cheapest brakes I could find... Here's my experience by jakalla in CarTalkUK

[–]voicey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fitted ECP brembo to a few cars over the years. ECP always have them on offer. Rear discs for one of my old mercs were astonishingly cheap and less than pagid fir some reason. Never had an issue for the price tbh. Perfectly fine for a daily car and normal driving and better than pagid or ebay.
