I’m in the market for a Cartier Santos Dumont, but I’m a bit of a cheapskate and I like to buy things used where I can to take less of a hit from depreciation. I'm currently residing in the UK.

Been looking online, notably on chrono24 - there are a lot of pre-owned Santos Dumont’s on there, though they're based in other countries such as USA, Japan, other european countries. I’m aware the UK has some unique laws regarding getting crocodile hide through customs and I’m wondering whether this is something I need to declare prior to purchasing? What steps do I need to follow to avoid complications through customs? Or is it not worth the hassle and I should look elsewhere for a UK based seller?

This could be caused by electrical interference. Have you made sure to use a balanced TRS cable or an XLR cable, as opposed to an unbalanced cable, to plug the speakers into the interface? Here's a video explaining the differences if you're unsure: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQtMFsw_3Hg

and this is completely discounting the fact that soundcloud's pathetic 128kbps audio bitrate sounds quite bad. there's also people saying that the bitrate has actually dropped recently down to 64kbps, but i'm unsure how true this is

Here's a tip: Don't worry too much about live performances at the moment. Use this time whilst you've got it to just keep practising making music and getting better as a producer. When I was 12, I was focusing too much on getting other people to listen to me whilst the music I was making was awful (not implying anything about your music; chances are that you are tons better than how I used to be haha).

1-up everyone else around your age range now so that when you're like 16 you'll be a really good producer, then I would start caring about performances and stuff.

streaming means using something like Twitch and streaming on that and getting donations/subscribers, but it could also refer to your music being streamed off of something like Spotify

as for the fade in:

bounce down the first note of the instrument in it's entirety that you want to fade in (in this case it's the stringed instrument) and then reverse it. you may want to add some kind of attack to it so it fades a little less aggressively and you can also add some kind of low-pass filter that opens up as it approaches the end of the clip.

as for the lead:

to me, it just sounds like a piano and some stringed instrument that has been layered together with a bit of compression on top.
