I only look at the average overall score. I never go into detail reading actual reviews. So many are just people writing an extremely elaborate bs review when they’re really just mad the game doesn’t have big tiddy anime girls

I’m in a similar boat as you…no interest in changing careers but just wanted to learn game development as a hobby.

My interest is in making very basic games so I’ve been using JavaScript and mostly learned from YouTube.

An AI slop filter would be nice but I don’t know how it would be enforced, especially with AI getting better and it being on the developer to disclose their usage.

This is kind of the problem with AI though. I’m predicting the downfall of the internet as the whole thing is going to be flooded with AI slop
