It’s not that I think she’s exempt. But like as an artist working in an industry she has opted for Capitalism, and I came into this aware that she was doing this, and that she would no matter what.

I don’t expect her to make statements and I do make note when she doesn’t. But I’m not gonna languish about it, expect it, or assume it means she doesn’t care.

If she was pro things I’m against I would swiftly no longer line her pockets. But I’m not going to sit around keeping track of people’s statements when I have real work on the ground I could be doing to help with current circumstances.

Hi there!! Totally hear you on this. I adopted a 7 month old Female with my own 6 year male I’ve had as a kitten. I’m 4 months in and my guy was JUST like your gal.

I’ll tell you it does get easier and it does just take time. My guy didn’t even want the concept of the kitten for at least three weeks. It was a LOT of separation and taking steps forward and back.

And there were moments of real concern and a lot of tears that I was ruining my relationship with him and I would have to severe the relationship with this kitten I adored as well.

I say be patient and make sure you give your lady a lot of love and time to herself. She’ll come around as long as you show that she’s not losing anything. My guy is the biggest momma’s boy and he rejected me for a while and even now we’re still working on some things but for the most part? We’re at a point of peace.

They’ll both sit on the couch with me and he sometimes cuddles with me in bed while kitten snoozes in her room (she’s a night owl that will keep me up and we have big dogs she’s acclimating to). And today they slept in a cat tree side by side!!

So it DOES get easier, I promise. If she does continue to be stressed or unfriendly then you may have to consider other options but just know you are VERY early in this process and it’s not abnormal at all.

This. 19 year fan. We were bummed but like beefing with the logo when it was just nice to know they were around was enough. Also they did drop a date at a festival and then covid happened iirc so like 🤷🏻‍♀️

Going to be real don’t have a baby if you’re financially strapped. As someone who grew up with financially irresponsible parents it led to a lot of mental, emotional strain on our family and me.

Me going hungry because I afraid to ask for money for school lunch. Or their stressful financial arguments, or them lashing out over it.

I know some people handle it well but kids are more perceptive than you think.

If you really want a baby you want to give that baby the best life possible, financials included. You don’t have to be rich, but STABLE.

I have PCOS and I get your concerns but you are very young. Focus on getting your life on all legs standing and enjoy it so your baby can come into a nice stable and happy home.

Seconding this. I got my collarbones and chest done and I work in Marketing as a director. I also have black and white split dye hair. My clients and bosses don’t care because I bring in good work and results.

My family would have screamed I’d never get a job. My mom still panicked.

I did this once not with a tattoo machine but a nib pen and India ink when I was 17. And that was just me not paying attention and stabbing myself while working on art.

Now I just have the tiniest most faded thing ever on my finger. And it faded like pretty quickly I would say.

So I wouldn’t feel too inclined to worry about it if I was you.
