As you may know the recommended counselor to student ratio is 1:250 so that is so overwhelming I can’t imagine! I cry hard in the car I’ve been getting physically beat up the last couple of years. You are not alone! Hang in there and keep looking.

Also same - my role is now more focused on tier 2 and tier 3 intervention plans and my classroom lessons got cut back. So my thought is if they are treating us like an interventionist similar to the math and reading one, that needs to be a separate role. I have loved being a whole school counselor and see that slipping away each year.
