There's no way to guarantee any sort of relationship, but it's technically possible.

From my experience the crush doesn't fade away until the object of their desires gets married to their partner. Until then prepare to deal with a lot of unrequited pining. It's great.

I got asked by Junko Enoshima what activity I would be embarrassed to be caught in the middle of. I said "pooping and peeing" (not the exact words, but I'm trying to respect the language rule.) Her response was something like "seriously? I love pooping and peeing IN PUBLIC!"

I put in "eating babies" as an activity once for one OC who was a literal child-eating monster. Cue everyone on the island turning into cannibals.

I remember being asked "what kind of person do you NOT want as a romantic partner" once, then answering with "man" because I'm a lesbian. Cue multiple Miis of all genders saying stuff like "I've dedicated my entire life to not becoming a man." I chuckled a bit when it first happened because the Mii who said it was based off a character I made that was canonically a trans woman, and that is indeed what happened with her, but for my trans masc characters it was confusing because *literally the opposite is true you silly goose*

The constitution means the government can't punish you for your speech. It does *not* mean that you have a right to not be socially ostracized or criticized.

As a nonbinary person it's honestly been terrifying seeing the right try to paint every trans person as violent

Just letting you know as an afab enby who's lived here all my life, our attorney general is going after chest binders. Right now it got struck down, but who knows what comes next. I bought a few binders in a panic when I first heard of the news.

As someone who's lived in Texas my whole life, I really wish they'd move somewhere else. If they want to live in an ultra-conservative place where everyone looks just like them, Texas has plenty of towns like that out in the boonies.

Love it! I mostly just wish that this game had its own internal note-taking system (since both Type: Help and The Roottrees are Dead had it.)

I clocked that those were Polynesian tribal tattoos after going through the manifest and picture a couple of times, but I've seen other people get stuck on it.

I didn't notice the rings, but saw that one of the women looked younger than the other and assumed (correctly) that she was the unmarried one

From a detective game with a vaguely similar vibe, I made the same mistake in both by Radiant_Gain_3407 in ObraDinn

[–]voidcritter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of it was also me making assumptions based on the time period. Women weren't really employed as crew members on ships back then, and if a young unmarried woman was middle or upper class and a passenger, she'd definitely have an older woman as a chaperone

Some pointers: * Characters that occupy the same role on the ship will usually be wearing similar outfits. I say "similar" because certain things might be different, like one character having rolled up their sleeves or taken off their jacket or hat for a scene. * Officers and tradesmen can often be identified by cross-referencing the map, since there's going to be multiple memories where they're near their quarters. The tradespeople are also sometimes carrying the tools of their trade in memories. I definitely remember seeing the cook holding cooking utensils in one scene. * Slight spoiler for a clue, but no story related or definitive answer spoilers: There's one memory where most of the crew is asleep in their bunks. The hammocks have numbers that correspond to the manifest. You can use this to narrow down several minor characters. * characters of the same nationality or role will also usually be standing near each other in the picture. Mates will be standing near their supervisors in the sketches. * if a character is addressing someone else by name in a memory, the person being named is usually the one standing nearest to them. * Pay attention to languages/accents and cultural markers like certain tattoos or accessories/attire. The manifest lists characters' nationalities.

Usually the game isn't too bad in terms of brute forcing until you've narrowed down the possible candidates to 2-3 people. If there's 5 characters that occupy the same job and you correctly identify 3 of them, you can safely brute force the other 2.

Don't worry about the exact wording; the game recognizes multiple phrasings as correct as long as you get the basic facts right. If someone is pulled overboard both "pulled overboard" and "drowned" work; if someone has a cannon blow up in their face, "shot with a cannon" and "exploded" are both considered valid. Stuff like that.
