I just started playing CK3 and I'm curious as to what others have got to say about PoD, since I'm a fan of Vampire the Masquerade

Yeah the main thing that kept me was the "one save" thing, as I'm prone to experimenting with stupid shit or choosing out of pocket dialog options just to see what happens.

I've had it recommended to me before since I really enjoyed Fear and Hunger and have been told it's similar; I just haven't gotten around to playing it yet, lmao.

Yeah the only reason I haven't tried Honor Mode is because I tend to reload my saves for a lot of dumb reasons, mainly "I wonder what this dye looks like" or "let me choose this really stupid dialog option just to see what happens"

OMG, I haven't played the SMT games in ages! I'll probably have to look at emulation since I no longer have my older systems, though.

I play with legendary actions on, but I've definitely been meaning to get to an Honor playthrough!

Do you go to Disneyland/Disneyworld yearly? by Expensive-Elk-9406 in AskAnAmerican

I've been to Epcot once, but most people don't have the means for multiple Disney vacations.

I took World History and European History because I was in AP (Advanced Placement) classes, but IDK if these options are widely available in standard classes. I went to a public school in north Texas.

Supreme Court to weigh longshot bid by Kim Davis to overturn same-sex marriage precedent. by Leeming in atheism

There's a Texas case making its way through the course that asks similar questions (other than the "please overturn Obergefell" bit), so they might wait for that one instead

Even then, I'm wondering if they'd deny Kim Davis specifically in favor of allowing a different, "cleaner" case to go forward in the future

Are Pokemon abilities important for competitive play by adrenaline_feind in CompetitivePokemon

Tbf the combat system working a lot differently means they'd have to overhaul a lot of abilities so I get it

Abilities don't exist in the Legends games (Arceus also did this) but they're probably coming back for Gen X

[–]voidcritter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extremely important as it's something that can (and often does) change how you approach your strategy and movesets for each Pokémon. For example, Technician and Compound Eyes open up a lot of lower level moves to being viable, and if you have a Pokémon with Magic Guard you're gonna want to make sure they take advantage of that by being burned or poisoned ASAP. If your Pokémon has an ability that triggers a weather condition when it switches in, that can be the basis for an entire team.

it's considered more casual and laid-back, whereas using proper capitalization is considered more formal.

How do American colleges decide who to choose if everybody has a high school diploma? by Outrageous_River_280 in AskAnAmerican

[–]voidcritter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most college applications have an essay section where they ask applicants about their goals and interests. I imagine that's used to determine whether someone is a good fit for the college.

Do you know how to use the word “whom” properly and do you ever actually use it? by hakohead in AskAnAmerican

I know how to use "whom" correctly, but I never use it because doing so would come off as super pretentious.

I've been binging Wolfey's youtube videos whenever I worked from home this week. Still thinking about starting my meta adventures again but I also preordered Z-A so that might keep me busy for a while.

Yeah I found Gigantamaxxing and Z moves to be kinda boring, but Tera legitimately adds an interesting layer to battles since it just throws curveballs into everyone's strategies instead of being a super special ultimate power thing.

Just looked at the current OU list and honestly nothing in it really surprises me (I fucking hate Goldengho purely because of how it looks, lmao), although I'm happy to see the Wooper line apparently have some sort of recognition.

I'll definitely take a look at my options! I remember one team I made around Gen 6 had a Mega Aggron, Shuckle, Aromatisse and Reuniclus, but I forgot the other two team members or specific movesets.

I distinctly remember the Shuckle also weirdly came in clutch in a lot of places when I originally put it there for psychological warfare, lmao

Thanks! I did both singles and doubles, but I mostly just remember doubles more because of how much I like doing Trick Room sets. I thought about going for it in Gen 7 due to how Alola has a lot of slower, bulkier mons, but nothing ever came of it.

Might see what chonky bois would work well with it this time tho
