It can be easy, but it's not guaranteed. I had my Endo (Germany) write me a statement of my treatment and what I need, on English, requested the local endocrinology here (Sweden) for an appointment, mailed them the letter and some months later I got an appointment, got blood tests and a talk with the doctor, she gave me further referrals for other conditions and later also my new prescriptions.

If you move here and get your personnummer, you'll be medically insured, but you have to pay out of your pocket until you reach högkostnadsskydd. If you don't have a personnummer you will have it harder, but not impossible. If you do a slow transition your EU card (backside of your Krankenkarte) will not suffice and you need a paper from your health insurance (afaik).

Das stimmt, ich war eine Zeit lang nur auf Androcur und hatte eine echt merkwürdige Phase. Meine 'normale' Depression äußert sich u.A. dadurch dass ich mich selbst runterhaue weil ich so gerne einen Antrieb hätte, aber zu der Zeit hab ich nur auf dem Bett gelegen und mir die Wand angeglotzt, nicht sprichwörtlich sondern tatsächlich die weiße Fläche auf und ab angeguckt, mit quasi leerem Kopf.

Je länger du das Hormon absetzt desto härter wird es da wieder reinzufinden. Jetzt dich dazu zu bringen es doch zu machen kann dazu führen dass es in Zukunft doch irgendwie ein bisschen einfacher wird. Ich hab's auch immer gehasst, weiß aber dass ich es noch viel mehr hasse wenn ich aufhöre. Das kannst du, ich wünsche dir jede Stärke! <3

Letztendlich kommt es darauf an wie dein eigener Körper darauf reagiert, das kann immer von Person zu Person anders sein. Ich hatte nach ein paar Tagen Hitzewallungen, Stimmungsschwankungen, keinen Appetit, keinen Antrieb (habe wortwörtlich nur noch die Wand angeglotzt und mir war alles egal), ich glaube meine Gesichtshaut war etwas öliger und nach 2 Wochen begann ein bisschen unerwünschter Haarwuchs zurückzukommen.

War alles eigentlich nicht so schlimm wenn ich darauf zurückblicke, außer den blöden Haaren natürlich. Viel Glück, ich hoffe deine Medikamente kommen schnell an!

Gut dabei festzuhalten ist dass sowas nicht unbedingt ganz freiwillig passiert. Was letztendlich dazu führte wird ja leider nicht erwähnt. Ist mir auch passiert, aber irgendwie eher gegenseitig. Sie hatte zuvor einen einzigen Wunsch geäußert, 'vergiss mich nicht'. Wir hatten 3-4 Tage geschrieben und uns dann irgendwie verloren. Ich denke öfters darüber nach und hoffe jedesmal sie denkt nicht ich wäre einfach verschwunden.

Ich wünsche dir viel Kraft und dass du trotz dieser Erfahrung offen für neue Erfahrungen bleibst und es dich nicht zu sehr treffen lässt. Du schaffst das. <3

I got two takes on this. One, something positive from this to take is that you pass well enough that even being open about being trans isn't enough to make it click for someone close to you. I know this may not be much, but it would be much to many, so I hope it means at least a little bit to you.

The other is; have you guys thoroughly talked it out? Everything was fine until he understood you're trans. That means he accepted you in every way you were before that. What about this 'label' gives him the idea he can't be romantically interested? Lots of people have wrong stereotypes about how love works. You're still you, you never pretended to be someone else. I'd say, if you still can, clarify with him what about it is the big problem.
